Wedding theme based on a book (or books)

Ok that may be going a bit too far but one of my fave authors is Louis de Bernieres. We found our venue by staying in a villa which is set in a valley surrounded by cornfields and overlooked by a ghost village. I later found out that this village was the one Louis de Berniers based his book 'Birds Without Wings' on. Many quotes in that book and his others are special to me and my H2B. So we are hoping to bring the book and the venue together for the wedding.

Does this make sense?

Anyone else doing anything similar?

  • Munchkin I think that is an absolutely beautiful idea, so original and lots of scope for creativity. I want to have some sort of literary connectio for my reception but I'm limiting it to naming the tables after characters from classic novels.

Keep us informed of how it goes?!

    Will do.

I love your idea of naming tables after characters - will you dress each table individually based on that character?

Who have you chosen out of curiosity?
