Show off your engagement ring!!!

Hello beauts!

l thought I'd start a little "ring porn" thread for any ladies that want to show off their engagement rings.. Everyone loves the opportunity to show off their sparkler so thought we could all show them off in one place to see all the gorgeous styles!

(Basically I'm just really nosy and love looking at engagement rings!) Xo

These are mine.. I have a 3 stone platinum ring, the middle stone is flanked by two smaller diamonds either side. I have a 2mm platinum diamond eternity ring to match which is my wedding ring. Sorry for the rubbish photo but it's the best I can find as my phone takes rubbish pics! This is a picture of my e ring from the beaverbrooks website:

  • Aw Mrs R I love yours, if I didn't have mine I'd want a solitaire. It's so classy.

Bella that is gorgeous! So much sparkle! I think I'll be choosing an eternity band as my wedding ring too.

What a great idea! Love a bit of engagement ring porn!

Here's mine. It's from the Harmony collection at Tiffany's. Bloody love it!

I love your wedding ring Bella2015, do you mind if I ask where you got it from?

Here's mine - I love it, it's so sparkly & dainty. I don't wear a lot of jewellery and never worn a ring before this so its perfect for me. Fine platinum band with 0.5ct diamond. Simple but classic!

    Everyone has such lovely rings!

I got my wedding ring from ebay believe it or not. The seller is fine-diamond; they are based in Hatton Garden but also sell on ebay. Their website is www.buyfinediamonds.com. I would highly recommend them. They do discounts quite regularly on ebay too - my ring was £400 reduced from £500 as they had a special offer on. It's .25ct diamonds.

  • image looks like we are almost ring twins Ess, this is my cushion cut halo with diamond shoulders. I had a matching diamond wedding ring made at the same time. What's your wed band like?

  • MissesJ a round of applause to your fiance! A Tiffany engagement ring?! Well done to him, it's beaut!!

SeptemberBride I love that. I'm all for solitaires and you're right, it looks perfect on your finger.

Oh Mrs M!! That's a rock! I love it! Do you know how big your centre stone is? Mine is 1.1 ct but yours looks bigger. I don't have a wedding band yet but think I'll go for a 1.6 mm eternity for more sparkle. Xo

  • My centre stone is 1.04ct. I was a Jeweller for 5 years and fell in love with this ring while travelling in NZ and my Fiancé was kind enough to get me the only one I'd ever loved out of the 1000s I'd tried on! It's a total of 1.6ct with the halo and shoulders, over 2ct with the wedband. Colour wise its an F centre stone, E on the shoulder and halo, VVSI clarity and GIA certified.

I have been compared to Smegal when I sit there muttering 'my precious' at it, but I am madly on love with it! Did your fiancé chose yours Ess? Boy did good if so!

  • not an engagement ring but a wedding ring (he proposed with a snitch due to my love of harry potter!) which looks more like an engagement ring...

    Oh, go on then

    image

SeptemberBride, I'm very similar to you (our rings are too!) that I don't wear jewellery so worried what would suit me, but I'm very pleased with H2B's choice!

Ess and MrsM, yours are totally fabulous - I wish I could pull one of those rings off!

MissesJ2B, you are a very lucky lady with a Tiffany ring - wowsers!

nice ring selfie at Alton Towers Lubes!

I had no idea what I would like or would suit me so very impressed that my H2B knew!

Saying that I think I would have been happy whatever he chose because it meant we're getting married.

I like the idea of having a wedding band a similar width as my engagement ring with some diamonds in but we'll see when it comes to ring shopping :-)

Who can deny a flash opportunity!

Love mine, I was literally in shock at how well H2B chose with no supervision! Love him!

  • Ugh Mrs M I'm practically salivating here haha! Mine is 1.1 ct centre stone 0.3 ct halo & shoulders - all F VS1. We looked online at rings beforehand and he asked me to send him a few I liked.. I sent him 3 - one cushion solitaire, one cushion halo and one oval halo. All the ones I sent him were 0.75 ct though cause I have small fingers so knew it would still look big on my finger but he upgraded himself! And I'm not complaining!

Jemmykins that is so beautiful! I love your sole decals too!!

Thats one of my favourite ring shots Lubes! So cute that you got one in front of the ride you both worked on, love it! Xo

  • image The picture doesn't do my ring justice - it looks a bit blurry in this but I absolutely love it! My fiance had it made for me and it's a platinum band with a 3.5ct Emerald cut Sapphire and 0.7ct tapered baguette diamonds either side :) :) The sapphire is quite a bright blue but I'm terrible with taking photos

  • Frances!!! That is unreal! What a beauty! I'm thinking about a sapphire eternity band as a wee nod to FI (thin blue thin). I love sapphires! You have to show us one with the flash on!

Jenni that's beautiful. Very unusual and I love the three side stones either side, I bet it sparkles like mad!

  • Beautiful rings ladies :)

This is my ring... Platinum 0.75ct solitaire. I chose it lol! (It's upside down for some reason).

  • Scottishbride that is breathtaking!! If I could choose another one to have as well that would be it! Tell me about your wedding 😍! Xo

Thank you! I have been engaged for over a year and still absolutely love it. Your ring is beautiful too, it's a showstopper!!

I get married on 1st September this year (eeek) and my venue is called Byre at Inchyra in Perthshire. its a beautiful converted barn with lots of fairy lights. We're hoping to get married outdoors but that's very much dependent upon the unreliable Scottish weather! I'm pretty organised and booked all suppliers so we just have to make decisions on the details, my favourite part :)

iI'd love to hear about your wedding too :) x

  • Aw wow! I'm September next year so this time next year I'm hoping to be as organised as you! I LOVE the Byre at Inchyra.. I wish I had the confidence to take a barn on. The finished product is always stunning but I'm a panicker and not the best at using my imagination. We've picked September for the weather actually, it's been our best month for the past few years so I reckon you'll get your outdoor wedding! I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed :)

We're 29 September 2017 at 29 in Glasgow! Still a while away but very excited to be able to day "I'm getting married next year" now haha! Xo

I have a bit of a blingy wedding band which goes really nicely with my ring - there's a photo on my planning thread if you can be bothered to find it!

Ah, we met there hence the photo! I took it a few days after we got engaged whilst I was there on a school trip :')

It really does - I love that about it! But it gets a bit err grubby (for want of a better word) quite quickly on the kind of textured swirly bits on the edges (can you tell I am not a girly girl and know nothing about jewellery) so any tips of keeping the ring clean would be much appreciated! I am currently using a little gold jewellery cloth but find it hard to get in the nooks and crannies!

  • Oh Jenni you need to get in there with a soft toothbrush girl!! A little bit of toothpaste really makes mine shine! Xo

  • Jenni8Jenni8 Posts: 3,202

OMG really? Its about time that I change my toothbrush head so I'll give it a go - and it doesn't damage the gold at all?

  • Absolutley love everyones rings theyre all so pretty! Heres mine... Platinum .31 diamond ring, her name is Diana πŸ‘°πŸΌπŸ˜πŸ’

    - Amy xoxo

  • Jenni it hasn't damaged mine at all although I've only done it twice, once in November, once in December. I saw it on Pinterest though so I'd imagine lots of others do it? I think it's fine as long as we only do it occasionally and rinse it well.. We use it on our teeth so it can't be too bad, can it?! I hope haha!! Xo

Amy that is so so beautiful! I love the intricacy of the band! And your nails! Xo

  • Here's mine, my partner  it himself, I couldn't have chosen a better one myself and I was amazed that it fits perfectly! I have stupidly small fingers, he had to get it made especially!

    image

Not sure why the photo is upside down sorry!

  • Lovely rings ladies! Never actually posted mine on here before but here we go.
