  • I'm booked in for a gel manicure the day before so don't know the exact polish I will have but it will be a pale pink.

I'm going for this faded French manicure effect.

Mine will be a French manicure but with added sparkle.

So undecided ๐Ÿ™ˆ I normally love fun bright nails but I'm worried how it will look with my dress?? Was thinking of french but is that dull? Saying that I have just saved the piccie Jenni posted as I love that!!

  • Same,Sammykate, finding it so hard to decide! I have a light pink shellac on my nails at the moment to test it out, but i'm not really a fan of it and I think i'd prefer something brighter. Personally I'm not a French manicure lover, although I do like what FutureMrsWoolgrove posted

  • At the moment i m thinking purple with a bit of sparkle to go with my flowers, something like this.

    Sinful Color by Mademoiselle Emma:

Fortunately one of my bridesmaids is a dab hand on doing nails so going to try out some designs when i visit her soon.

Ooh this fits right in with a post about nails I did the other day. I was fixed on bright but ut would go with my pink and white flowers. I love Jenny's so may have to steal!

I came looking for this post.. Nice ideas for sure but I'm not really a glitter fan or any art.. I was thinking maybe this?

neutral nails. I actually like the shape; it makes her fingers look even longer and more elegant https://memoi.com/:

    Or this..

Pink mauve nails are great for the summer to fall beauty transition. Photo via Beauty There:

I've seen a few brides wear light coral for the summer and it looked absolutely lovely, but as my colours are more pinky tones, I thought I might match it up with the lips and bouquet..

Plus, I have shellac so don't know how that's going to work.  Going to have to do some experimenting with my nail shop!!

I am really struggling because I dont like french manicures or the colour pink on me, but I dont want something too bold as I have horrible long spider fingers and lots of scars on my hands (dog bites and burns ๐Ÿ™„) so dont want to draw unneccessary attention to them.

    I like these

But whenever Ive had pink nails in the past Ive hated them, they just look weird with my skin! Maybe a more mauvey sort of colour.

Maybe this sort of colour isnt 'look at me' bright? Im thinking this sort of colour on my lips as well so could work.

This hasn’t been updated for a while, I get married in 7 weeks and looking for inspiration, does anyone have any pictures they can share?xx

I can't wear acrylics as my nails reject them ๐Ÿ˜ฅ So will be using good old primark false ones with either pale pink and glitter ring finger or a darker pink/mauve colour xx

I had these just after I got engaged so think I'll go for something similar! Frenchies getting a lot of hate but I personally love an ombré French manicure. :-)

I had originally planned to just go for a nice, bridal french manicure... but I ended up with Barbie-esque pink ombré gel nails  I loved them.

I was initially thinking French but it is gel polish on my own nails and sometimes I think the white can look too thick. I had nude put on this time the ring fingers on both hands being glitter. Although it does look nice, I am thinking of a bit of colour.xx

What I want is a bit different from the usual but I really wanted some colour and something fun. I also want my nails to match my blue shoes:

These are what I usually have ‘baby boomer‘ style but thinking of going a bit fancier for wedding

4 my first wedding I let my nails grow a bit n had them done very square n painted a dark color that blended with bridesmaids, flowers etc.  It was fab at the time (y2k), very funky-looking and on-trend, but within a couple of years i really regretted the choice because they are sooo obvious in just about every photo and looked more n more dated and wrong over time.

This time round I'm gonna keep my nails how they r all the time (just a couple mm longer than finger tips, natural oval shape) n get a peachy french manicure with sparkly topcoat.
