Gill17 - I love your hair! I really like it when brides try something different...how boring would it be if everyone had the same. Your look is elegance with a tasteful air of confidence...fabulous.

I'm going for a bit more of a traditional look...I love Kate Middleton's half up/down styles so i'm leaning more to asking the hairdresser to try that. So something like this:

with a veil attached to the back and a small headband on top of my head

I’m doing my own makeup (I used to have side business doing wedding makeup until I moved) and i’m going for something like this

Here's my hair and makeup trials:

The eyebrows were a little softer on the day, as I don't normally wear makeup and I wanted a more natural look.

  • Thank you to those that have posted. I'm not normally a make up girl and don't even know where to start. 😊

I went quite heavy on my makeup because I always wear makeup and wanted full coverage

I love all of the photos....beautiful hairstyles, not one single one that isn't.

    Keep the photos coming!

Question - in a trial do you only get one shot at trying one hairstyle, or do they do a few if you're not keen on the first one, but without an extra charge?

This is how mine will be but with a hair vine through it similar to lauren318.

And this is my make up, natural but with defined eyes.

Im not having the dangling curl at the front on the day, I felt like I was wearing some weird wig! And the bun will have more volume, and no veil.

MrsNolan2017 and MrsJ2017 - LOVE your hair styles.

Can't wait to have mine done.

Just going back to the Q i asked earlier on the thread.....do any of you have any idea of whether or not you get a couple of tries of hairstyles in one trial, or do you have to pay extra?

Also, long before the wedding do you have a trial?

  • lauren318lauren318 Posts: 482

i had a few trials in the one go. I had 2 trials of the hair i chose. I had them all in the month up to the wedding 1 a week before x

  • When i had my trail she would have created another style free of charge had i wanted to within the session

If i had come away and changed my mind she would have charged for another trial

I had my trial 3 months beforehand,

In my trial she did two styles which I was happy with. I guess if I wasn't happy with either she would have done another though I have long thick hair so was there for 2 hours already!

I had mine 5 months or so before the wedding.
