Fast Car hire

Was thinking of hiring a fast car for H2b and best man , ( we arent having cars coz ceremony and reception is in the same place ) bbut they boys will need to get there in the morning . Wanted to do it as a surprise . is anyone else do this if so can you recommend a good company . Possibly thinking of an Aston martin but have no idea how much they cost , would like it for the day but so they could drive it rather than being chauffer driven. Any ideas?

This is the company I have used to suprise my h2b. It is chauffer driven though and will take him for a spin then to the church. Cost 225, which i thought was good for a ferrari best I found anyway. Dunno if its what you want but it might be worth a look x

    Hi!

I will be doing the same for my h2b. He's a big Alfa Romeo fan and I could only find two companies in the UK (!) that you can hire them from. These are the links:

    http://www.greatescapecars.co.uk/ & http://www.vintage-classics.co.uk/.

They do other cars as well but I suppose it'll depend where you're based and whether you'd prefer classic cars to the modern ones...

I went with Vintage Classics and so far have been very happy with their customer service.

For an aston you will be loooking at the £700 mark for a weekends hire or you can get it for around £350 for 24 hours. Google super car hire for the sort of thing you are looking for.

Have a look at this site for some idea of what you can get.

A Porsche Boxter would probably be the cheapest car to hire but if all these are way out of your price tag how about hiring a mini cooper s? Very good fun to drive but a lot cheaper!

One thing to remember about hiring a car though is that you will need his driving liscence etc. in order for him to be able to drive.

I don't want to worry you, but I don't actually think that is a Ferrari. I think its a very good replica, and it looks like a ferrari, but i'm pretty sure its not a ferrari.
  • sorry to burst your bubble, but thats not a genuine Ferrari. I hired one for my husband for our wedding back in March, the company is based in Warwick, i'll try and remember the details and post them later.

Farrell29- how was it when you hired it for your husband? Was he disapointed? I don't really mind if its not genuine as long as its a good replica and gets him to the church!

They are based in Exeter, im still going to give them a ring though. The website says, "ultra rare super car" hmmm

How did you know its not genuine?

The fact that it doesn't say anywhere on the website that it is a ferrari which made me suspicious, if you had a genuine ferrari to hire I expect you'd want to shout about it - they only call it a "supercar".

Also the exhausts aren't right (my oh told me that :lolimage

  • Hi there

We've hired a Lamborghini and an Aston Martin to take H2B and Best Man to the church, my Dad and BM to the reception and then stay for a couple of hours so people can go for rides/take pics etc. We're paying around the £1000 mark for the day but that is for chauffeurs to drive them. We were quoted £1895 for both cars on self-drive hire for the day (we didn't go with that as they'll want to have a drink in the morning!!) I can't remember the name of the company off hand but I'll check my e-mail's when I'm home and let you know!

I found loads of companies by googling 'Lamborghini Aston Martin Wedding Hire'!! It's worth contacting companies that are based far away as they'll often deliver to you.

    xx
