Paying suppliers in Italy...

Evening ladies!

I'm getting married in 7 weeks and we are at the point of starting to pay suppliers in Italy...or so we thought! Our wedding planner is now telling us that services such as hair and make-up, after ceremony toast in local square, car transfers, photographer etc must be paid by cash on the spot. I'm no expert on the subject and want to throw it out there for advice before I reply to her email. If we do go ahead like this we will have to take approx 3k in cash with us or withdraw it from a bank in Sorrento.

Any advice or past experience would be greatly appreciated!

things we have booked through planner we have had to pre pay but things we have chosen to booked direct (video, make up, hair, cars) have all said cash in hand on the day. can you contact any of their previous clients to see if they had any problms doing it that way?xx
