    Thank you so much everyone!!

to be fair even when I've been really big, or really skinny I've always had an exaggerated hourglass figure so my waist has always been really small (I used to fit a 26" corset!)

So both of those lace jackets are actually little bolero shrugs that I've put on backwards! So at the back they're both just wide open hence why I can't buy them. Instead I'm having a crop top made by a woman on etsy that's more similar to the first jacket style (high neck, t shirt sleeve) but more lace coverage and the back will be keyhole :)

Ah I love it, and is that the same top you are wearing with your other dress? Matches both perfectly!

It's very slightly different! The one I'm ordering for the wedding is a high, turtle neck style :)

You look so stunning in both! I love princessy styles so am in love with the second one!

Say hello to my new engagement ring! My mum's is pretty but I realised it's just too traditional for me - I never wanted a diamond solitaire as grateful as I was to her for the offer. To be honest I'm not sure how to tell her Im getting a new one, I feel awful about it even though it's not like a big deal to her that I take it or anything.

I dunno. But anyway my fiance said it was really important to him to pick it out so we went to some shops today and I pointed out things I liked so he could get an idea and this is the one he's chosen :) he got a great deal too it was worth £450 and he's got it for £150!

Thats so gorgeous!! Its so lovely he still wanted to pick it out, but made sure you had a way of showing the kind of thing you like, shows how much he cares!
I'd just wait until you have it and tell your Mum he surprised you with it... but thats just me haha.

He's so thoughtful honestly he's just the best I'm so lucky!

I'm gonna get my pearl ring patched up again and just wear it on special occasions instead of turning it into a necklace. I'll wear it on our wedding day and Christmas and anniversaries I think.

    365 days to go!!!

In exactly one year from now I'll be doing my make up, sipping on champagne, rollers in my hair, probably feeling like I'm gonna throw up.

It's so strange to think about how mundane today is compared to next year lol

I'm so excited happy prenniversary to us!!

Happy pre-versary!! Time will definitely start flying now, at least that’s what I’ve found. Enjoy today and I’m so glad you have a gorgeous new ring! just catching up and I love your evening dress too.

Practised my wedding make up today! It took an hour and a half and I'm really happy with it! Full coverage matte skin but covered with a light layer of liquid illuminator. Cream contouring. Thinner brows than I'm used to. Peach matte lip dabbed with a Raspberry shimmer lipstick in the centre. Pink cut crease with pink glitter on the lid and black smokey sharp edge. Liquid wings and huge fluttery lashes. White pencil liner on the waterline and black pencil liner below.

Your makeup looks fabulous! Love your eyes and how they’re dramatic but still have a softness about them. The only thing I’d say is double check your skin under camera flash as I sometimes find it doesn’t photograph well and looks as though it’s sitting on top of my skin rather than blending in. It isn’t an issue with every kind but worth testing you are happy with how it looks on camera.

I can’t wait to see it all put together with the flower crown, I think its going to look stunning.

I've checked none of my products have SPF in  them which is what causes the flash back so it should be OK fingers crossed! I really want to make it look like a woodland fairy but less obvious than in the picture... Not sure how!

I can't wait to see it either 😍

Ooh the freckles are cute! I think youve struck a great balance between wedding and fairy! It ties in the whimsical side of the day but isn’t out of place or too costumey with your beautiful dresses. It’s actually zinc oxide and silica that causes flashback which is in tons of stuff, including spf, so double check before you commit to any particular products. Anything with light reflecting particles has the potential to cause it, I had a long hard search for a good highlighter when I did my friend’s wedding makeup, so worth a quick double check how it photographs in different lighting Xx

    Finish the invites

    Finish the paper cranes

Make the rest of the place names

Kids entertainment stuff (Coloring pages, bubbles, sweets, stickers) DONE

    Order of the day signs

Get the faux grass aisle runner

Find some sandals for the reception DONE

Get like... A shit tonne of helium

Buy the Polaroids (1 out of 5 DONE)

  • AwhelenqtAwhelenqt Posts: 856 New bride

Speaking of the Polaroid scavenger hunt - here's what I've got so far :

something fun on the bouncy castle

    A group shot

An intimate moment between the bride and groom

The paper crane made by matty (labelled and hidden!)

    A love heart

A photo that makes us say "what the duck??"

The debut album cover if your table were a band

    Best table football goal celebration

    A make shift veil

1 point for every item completed

    Extra points for creativity!

    Anyone got any other ideas?

Love your new ring. It's very you!

And your dresses are beautiful. So did I read that right? You're getting the tops made?

Again your makeup works perfectly with your wedding and your personality

    Thank you!

I'm getting one top made which I'll wear with both dresses - I posted a picture of it a few pages back :)

You can buy coloring book printables anywhere online but I wanted to make mine myself - it's barely taken any time so why not?

Activity books look great; definitely a nice touch that they’re so personal.

Youre definitely in control of your to do list!

  • Love the homemade activity books! And can I just say how fun your wedding is going to be, love how much thought you have put into entertaining your guests!

I'm really impressed with your activity books. That's such an unusual personal touch.

You guys are so sweet thank you! I hope it is fun.

I'm just worried it'll be really cold or raining and people won't be able to hang outside in the sun for the cocktail hour since all the decor, bouncy castle and general entertainment is in the courtyard :/

I know I've got a year to work out a contingency plan but I'm already panicking lol

There's only a couple small rooms inside that people can hang out in. One of them is the brewery where I'm planning on displaying the cake and stuff like that so there isn't any room for seating and if it's Cloudy and raining it'll be pretty dark in there.

The other room I'd planned to have as a quiet area like where kids can have naps or old peeps can have a cup of tea and I've not really planned any decor for it in the budget and I don't know how people will stay entertained for so long waaaah

It's here! I love it so much.

Bless him, he got down on one knee again to ask me! Today marks 3 years since we met so it was really sweet of him :)

I've decided what I'm doing with my makeup after lots of trials!

I've struck I think the perfect balance between modern pretty pinks and whimsical woodland fairy!

On the day I'll have super big fluffy lashes and pearls under my eyes and above my brows.

  • Gifts for the wedding party

My parents both really like photography so 2 of the 5 Polaroid cameras we're using for the scavenger hunt we're going to give them as thank you gifts.

My bridesmaids I'll get them dressing gowns and bridesmaids survival kits.

The groomsmen will receive a selection of the venues own beers brewed on site.

Just gotta think about Mattys parents and our son!

  • This is arch a tiny insignificant detail but if I don't write it down I'll forget lol

Need to remember my signature pink fluffy pen for the signing of the register photo bcos I always always use it I never use regular pens lol have a few fluffy pink pens instead

I would double check if this is allowed. My old boss wanted a specific pen due to him being left landed and this pen of him gave him neater writing and was told no, it has to be the pen they provide as the ink is specialised ink. My SIL also bought a beautiful pen and was told no, again because it had to be their pen with their ink

  • I'm being organised, yay!

I just mean for the posed photo! They wouldn't be able to take a picture of my cute fluffy pen if I were signing the register with it anyway but it's for after when we're pretending to do it lmao

Ah that's good! I know my SIL was mightily peeved when she was told her £60 pen would not be used haha
