  • we are having a vintage xmas wedding

our venue is an old library and we have used pearls throughout the day to try keep it vintage

we are having all the old sinatra classics and other ratpack xmas songs played throughout

flower girls are wearing dresses with fur capes and fur muffs .. kind of like the old xmas scenes you see on xmas cards

our wedding cake we are decorating ourselves with ribbon and vintage brooches which we are trying to find at the moment

ermmm trying to think of anything else we are doing ........

  • I would trawl flea markets/ebay for vintage decor ideas.

Also look at Flo & Percy for some vintage style jewellary or, if you are on a tight budget, there are loads of beautiful vintage style items in Accessorize at the moment.

    Good luck! x
  • We're having a vintage theme too and having vintage crockery for our afternoon tea theme/country garden/vintage themed wedding! We are also having lots of pearls, vintage suitcases and lots of other accessories. Getting them all from a company that hires it all out. They have got some gorgeous stuff that is really well priced!

We are having a vintage victorian theme, my dress is very victorian and I am going to wear one of those mini top hats. The other half is getting his suit from a company that sells victorian mens outfits. Also thinking of making vintage invites ourselves.

I posted a thread in the alternative section for other ideas but havent got any replys yet.

  • jeany, we are having a vintage wedding too!!! I live in Bath and have found a great company in Bristol to do my wedding stationery- not sure if you are at that stage yet? They have loads of gorgeous vintage designs -although we have decided to go bespoke as I had a great idea about tea cups in the design and the price is really good i thought!! The website is www.ditsychic.com if you want to take a look.

We are also getting lots of tea cups from ebay to have on the table and birdcages! I can't wait. image
