KENT SUPPLIER RECOMMENDATIONS FROM AN OLD MARRIED!

Hi girls

I will eventually get round to writing a report/flashing some pics but in the meantime I really wanted to give a big shout out for a few of my suppliers who were simply amazing - I haven't recommended anything that I wouldn't happily book if I were to do it all again (for example my hairdresser, who although made my hair look nice was unprofessional, rubbish at getting back to me and didn't do it as we did at the trial or even close to it!)

If anyone needs any further info please let me know and I will see what I can do!

Catering: Catering Style (http://www.cateringstyle.co.uk/)

There isn't much info on the website but Alex and her team are amazing and offer a variety of menu options at a very reasonable price. We had a full 3 course sit down meal for £25ph, and all the guest commented how amazing the food was! Alex went out of her way to help us throughout the planning process, coming out to cook us dinner 1 evening at home so we could sample the menu, setting up all our tables for us and even throwing in free chair covers for our village hall (they have a sister company called Totally Covered that provide the chair covers) - I cannot recommend this company enough for quality of food and customer service! Send her an email if you're interested in menus!

Chris Gilbert Photography: http://www.chrisgilbertphotography.co.uk/ or http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=94022758831&ref=ts

We were so so happy with our photos, Chris made us feel at ease and while he was concentrating on capture the main shots and the little detail shots, another photographer was focusing on getting natural shots of our guests. He stayed with us from preparations through to our wedding breakfast and we are thrilled with the selection we have on our disc - can't wait to get our album now either! Chris had mentioned that he is currently rebuilding his site, but I think he has some more images on his facebook group as well so I have posted the address for that too.

Flowers: Ab Fab Flowers, Walderslade Village

Flowers were far cheaper than anywhere else I was quoted, were delivered on time and the arrangements/bouquets were absolutely stunning! I would recommend them without hesitation, and will use them for any future bouquets I need for sure!

Make-up: Make-up by Kelly Hollands (http://www.kellyhollands.co.uk/)

Kelly is the friendliest person you could wish to meet, and really knows her stuff! For both the trial and wedding day she arrived promptly and put me at ease straight away (which is good because I was a bag of nerves on the day!) - she has an amazing kit (or should I say a huge suitcase!) including the airbase foundation which I had and it really feels so light on your face but gives amazing coverage! She has a great knowledge of products and colours to suit each customer, and will work to give you the look you want with the amount of make up you feel comfortable with! I will be booking Kelly again in the future for special occasion make up!

Rings: Goldfinger Rings (http://www.goldfinger-rings.com/)

We saw Goldfinger at a wedding fair and their prices were by far the best for what we were looking for! Sarah (our rep) came round to our house one evening with literally hundreds of rings and you can choose to combine elements of designs, add diamonds, choose your metal and have the insides of the rings engraved. Once you have paid your deposit you can pay monthly to make the costs more affordable. On full payment your rings are hand delivered by Sarah again to ensure they fit and are as ordered! We love our rings, and different to anything we saw on the high street too!

Alterations: Deisys Bridal Studio, Gillingham (http://www.deisys.co.uk/)

Deisy was a real find - we were referred here by my dress shop for my alterations, and she is absolutely lovely! She works all hours of the day to make sure every bride has her dream dress, and is incredibly passionate about what she does. My bridesmaids dresses needed a lot of alteration involving unpicking and re-hand stitching the embroidered detail on the bottom of the dresses, this was done quickly and to such precision we couldn't tell that it wasn't made this way in the first place. Deisy was had been in hospital the day before my final fitting, but still came in to check everything was ok with our dresses. Prices are very reasonable too!

Balloons: Wild Balloons (http://www.wildballoons.co.uk/)

Dawn is very professional, and came in far cheaper than any other balloon artist I enquired with. She does a range of displays (not just the standard 3 balloons on a table) and is extremely talented at what she does. Dawn's costs include delivery and set up of displays, and we were blown away with how they transformed our venue when we arrived for our wedding breakfast! Balloons don't have to be tacky, and the displays we received were anything but! Highly recommended!

I would also highly recommend my DJ, however I cannot find his details at present! (My Mum booked him for us!) - If anyone would like a DJ recommendation please contact me and I will get hold of the number! I'm sure I have forgotten other suppliers, but if there is anything in particular you're looking for in the Kent area please let me know and I will see if I can recommend anyone!
