We’re wearing Jo Malone scents. We had a scent your wedding appointment and found our scents. I’m also treating myself to thematching body cream amd wash while Andrew is just having his cologne.

I wore Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt for the day time & layered it with Black Cedarwood & Juniper for the evening reception. I loved both scents x
I wore Jo Malone Myrrh & Tonka and layered with Velvet Rose & Oud body creme and Mimosa and Cardamon body wash, I loved it and could smell it all day, everyone that walked into the room I was getting ready could smell it and that was before I put the cologne on!
Did you all go for a new scent, or was your perfume something that you already wore? I have a bit of signature scent and I'm going between wearing that or finding something new.

I went for Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf. I normally wear quite florally perfumes so I stuck with the same sort of scent for the wedding.
Those who went for Jo Malone - did you feel the layering of the scents, body cream etc. Made it last?
I love JM but perfume alone I never think it lasts as long as other perfumes.
I bought Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede but didn't find it lasted long when I tried it out before the wedding, so I ended up wearing Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet which I love and lasts well.
I’m going for a Jo Malone perfume, I love the Peony and Blush Suede and I have spritzed it a few times when visiting Jo Malone and find it lasts well. I do usually wear something heavier so I’m not 100% sure but I’m going to book in for the scent my wedding appointmen.
Jenni, did you layer the Peony?
I wore Jo malone dark amber and ginger lily layered with earl grey and cucumber. It lasted through til the night and was still subtle.
I chose new scents rather than my usual. I usually wear flower bomb but wanted something more warm and autumnal
When layered mine lasted for 3 days even through showering. I can’t wait to wear all mine on the day.

I am debating this at the moment as well. I usually wear Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir and am thinking about getting a new bottle for the wedding and wearing it alone or layering it with something else new. I am very picky about scents, so I feel like this is the safer option but at the same time maybe I should put in the leg work to try and find a new "wedding day" scent.
If anyone has recommendations for layering up with Pomegranate Noir, please say!
I wore Jo Malone, I had a scent your wedding appointment and ended up with layering English pear and freesia body wash and body cream then both Orange blossom and English pear and freesia perfumes. It smelt amazing and lasted all day and night I didn’t need to reapply all day. The body cream still leaves A scent even after showering, well worth the money.
I wore Ralph Lauren Romance. It was in the top ten bridal perfumes in vogue back in the summer. So I was quite chuffed. X
I find Jo Malone perfumes don't last five minutes on my skin. Quite bitter about this as I LOVE Pomegranate Noir but its just not worth it for how long it lasts on me. The same happens with the Estee Lauder perfumes too.

M is going to get me the new Tiffany perfume to wear. I smelt it the other day and it is lovely. My engagement ring is Tiffany so he's set himself a precedent now !
I also love Pomegranite Noir but was worried it was too heavy for our wedding in Italy, the lady in Jo Malone recommended it with Peony and Blush Suede or Grapefruit and both were gorgeous. Worth a try!
I have the same problem with Jo Malone fading quickly – I'm gutted as H2B bought me a bottle of English Pear and Freesia, which I love, but it barely lasts an hour on me. Am considering getting the body wash or lotion to boost it, but I absolutely resent having to spend that much!
Re: having a different scent than usual, I really like the idea of wearing something different so we'll associate it with the wedding – in theory it should mean that smell will always take us back in memory.
Thank you! I will try those.
I had no idea some many people struggle to make it stay put!
I wore Far Away by Avon on the day. I have designer perfumes but on the day, I decided to wear this one since that was my signature perfume when we first met and I thought I'd stick to that one for sentimental reasons. I find it is a really long lasting perfume too which is a bonus.
I'm a Jo Malone-r. I'm layering wood sage and sea salt with blackberry and bay. I love it. I lasted all day after my "scent your wedding" which was at 11am.
I wore Chance by Chanel. Our wedding was a spring wedding and so wanted something light and fresh. Whilst our shopping I smelt this and knew I wanted that. It was lovely and lasted well. I love wearing it now and almost reliving the day.
Chance is my all time favourite perfume.
Those going with Jo Malone - did you buy it there and then on the wedding scent session or wear it and come back later? Whilst I'm a huge fan, I'm reluctant to spend all the money and find I don't want to go for it! I can see that layering the cream and perfume plus the shower oil could work well. I used a sample shower oil and could definitely smell that hours later!
Lexi - I haven't bought anything yet or had the wedding session at JM but I will definitely leave any purchase until the scent has been on at least a few hours if not longer. I wouldn't feel bad about doing that at all.
Does anyone know if jo Malone will have any offers on Black Friday? I’m in London next week, if they are likely to have discounts I might buy mine then.
I wouldn’t have thought of using these together, I want to try them now. I have tried the Myrrh and velvet rose separately and loved them both.
I don't think I've ever noticed a sale at Jo Malone, but worth calling them to ask?
Jo Malone dont do sales! i had Jo Malone for my wedding - vitamin E body scrub, English pear and freesia body wash, English pear and freesia body cream and nectarine blossom and honey perfume! Loved it. Also took some of the candles I already had from JM to scent my room for getting ready.
best thing to do is be sure you are on the mailing list and that way every so often you get discount or treat codes. I buy a lot from Jo Malone - candles, perfumes, gifts, all sorts and last year they sent me one of their new perfumes in the 30 ml bottle as a thanks and this year they sent me a preview of 2 - I got the two new English oak fragrances a couple of months before they came out to try! I was super chuffed, felt like a famous blogger type and was like wow that’s two of their proper perfumes for free! But then I did think about how much JM stuff I buy and to be fair would say I am a very loyal customer! But that’s the only way I think there’s ever offers - either via mailed codes for customers or spend so much and they will give you like a complimentary mini treat of some sort.
I still do it all now and then to remind me of the day.
Edit - just realised this was a really old post .... lack of caffeine in my life
