    Cake...

I'd still like to keep the cake I designed previously, I don't want to change the basics of what is it but for decoration I just love the idea of going over board and doing a freak cake style thing with dripping Caramel and chocolate and sprinkle Doughnuts and brownies and cookies and macaroons and lollipops all over it... But also loads of fruit.

    Happy birthday!

Thank you! I've had a lovely long weekend, my mum took our son on Saturday so we went to Alton towers and stayed in a hotel then yesterday had a nice father's day meal and saw all my family then today he took me on a shopping trip which I of course loved and we went out for lunch and now we're watching the match which I'm not bothered about but he's been so wonderful I don't mind!

Thank you to everyone for your birthday wishes I've truly been overwhelmed with love - I set up a charity donation so that people could donate to Mind as their gift to me and I can't believe how many people did it!

And it means so much that yall thought my vows are good, I cry every time I re read them thinking of how much I love him!

    Second dress

I really need to give this some thought! I am obsessed with pale pink and I wear it all the time so when I stumbled across this...

    image

I just about lost my mind! I love it so much and I know I'd look amazing and it'd go great with my lace crop top. But thinking back to my first time trying dresses I tried a blush one and adored it but not for my wedding. For all I bang on about feminism I really want to wear "white". It felt so much more bridal to me.

So then I thought well I AM wearing a white gown for the ceremony and pictures and first dance this is just my cocktail hour/wedding breakfast outfit so surely I can wear my fave colour then? But THEN I feel like I'm wasting my white dress day!! I know that sounds stupid and I should just wear my favourite colour but I want to be a bride in white ughhhh I don't know what to do!

    Hen do

So this is interesting 7 out of 11 of my hens have said they'd like to do an abroad hen do! And 3 of them haven't actually replied so it's neither a yes or no...

Basically my BFF/bridesmaids mum owns a travel shop and she gets super cheap accommodation around the world (like we decided to go to Disneyland on a whim a couple years ago and she got us in one of the official Disney hotels for like £20 each) and has said she'd be able to get us a villa somewhere in Europe for £4 each?????? Practically giving it away we'll just have to pay for flights and if we go in like June out of school holidays it'll be pretty reasonable so end up costing similar if not less than a weekend in Newcastle!

    Fingers crossed this pans out..

That’s brilliant! It’s not what you know, it’s who you know hey! I hope it works out for you!

Love your pink skirt idea by the way - the only thing I’d question is if you really love your first dress will you be bothered going off changing? If it’s not too expensive (ie you wouldn’t be gutted if you didn’t get around to putting it on) then I’d say go for it. Like you say, you’re doing the main bit in a white dress and the style of the skirt is still very bridal... I think it’d go fab with your flower crown too!

I do really love my first dress - but it's a very tight fishtail I can't even sit in it let alone eat and if rwe have another summer like this I'll absolutely die! That's the only reason I want to get a floaty skirt!

I just don't know I want to wear white but I just love pink so much

    For my bridesmaids

I'm gonna put together an "oh shit kit" so emergency stuff for on the day. Primark sell cute BM clutch bags/toiletries bag. So here's stuff to include -

    Hair grips

    Nail file

    Paracetamol

    Safety pins

    Blister plaster

    Alcohol miniature

    Tissues

    Gum

Maybe a nice little pretty gift like a necklace or earrings I'm not sure

    Accessories ...

I've found this totally cute bag in claires accessories that I think I'm gonna use for the wedding! It's the perfect size and has a long strap

I am absolutely gutted. My engagement ring has broken so many times since I got it at Christmas that we've decided I can't keep wearing it and risk the pearl falling out somewhere when I'm out and about and I'll never find again.

So I'm going to have it made into a necklace and my mum is so kindly giving me her diamond solitaire.

I'm just so so sad about it though. I don't want to sound ungrateful because I am so so thankful for her offer! But I never wanted a diamond, I always wanted a pearl and I'm devastated I won't get to wear the ring my fiance chose for me for the rest of my life :(

oh no that's awful  lovely offer from your Mum but it's not the same as wearing the ring he gave you.  Are you not able to get the pearl made into a new ring?

I've been advised by a few jewellers that actually pearls are supposed to be occasion jewellery and aren't hard wearing enough for everyday wear :(

    Hair

I figured I'd do my hair myself and never considered getting a professional but I'm wondering if I should at least explore the option so I'm gonna go to the local hairdressers next Thursday (our Prenniversary) and have a trial just to see if I think it's worth it.

I'm just gonna try one updo and one half up half down

I got my reception dress! It's lighter and won't cling to my thighs in the August heat.

    I can't believe I've got 2 stunning dresses for £700 total.

Ah I love it, and is that the same top you are wearing with your other dress? Matches both perfectly!

It's very slightly different! The one I'm ordering for the wedding is a high, turtle neck style :)
