We're getting married this month! Anyone else?

Hi ladies.

Can't believe its July ๐Ÿ˜€ we are getting married on the Friday  6th July. So in just 5 days ๐Ÿ˜ฎ We've almost done everything now, just a couple tiny bits to finish today. I'm so glad as didn't want to go into wedding week feeling stressed and I can now focus on the pampering, catching up with family and packing bags for the hotel. Anyone else getting married this month? If you are, have you got much left to do? Xx

Exciting. Feels good to be organised doesn't it! I couldn't be one of those brides doing favour boxes etc couple days or night before, I'd freak out lol same to you, hope you have an amazing day on Saturday! My official wedding prep/pampering starts on Tuesday night. Will have a nice relaxing bath, shave legs etc and exfoliate. Then Wednesday 3.30 off to the salon where I will meet my sister who is down from Edinburgh (mega excited to see her) and my mum, then my maid of honour and bridesmaid will meet us there at 4.30 and are all having our nails done ๐Ÿ˜€. After that off for a spray tan with my bridesmaid. My maid of honour won't need a spray tan as she comes back from Dominican Republic on Tuesday!! Thursday will be pre-wedding meeting to go over everything and take everything to the venue, then meeting family who are arriving, some from quite far and having a meal with them 6pm. I Will have our 7 month old son with me so will be back to venue to settle him and chill for the night. My sister is staying in my room the night before and my bridesmaid is staying at the hotel the night before too so thinking once Lil man is settled then maybe one glass of wine, maybe face masks and going to ask my sister to paint my toenails for me! So that's wedding week! Then Friday get married!!! Ahhhhh xxx

    Eeeee!! We're the 22nd - 3 weeks today!

We have pretty much everything wrapped up, I keep telling myself that the bits we still need to get are the bits that no one would notice or care if we didn't have! Trying not to sweat the small stuff xx

We've done activity packs for the kids too. It's only neices and nephews who are coming so 6 children in total. My nephew who is 10, the activity pack is a bit young for him so have added a horrible history joke book too. I'm thinking of waiting until the speeches to give the packs to hopefully occupy them a little through them ๐Ÿ˜‘ whether it will work is another story xx

Me!!! How exciting it’s our month! Our wedding is the 30th in Vegas. Finalised all the plans this week and paid off the balance of wedding.

We only have 4 coming, nieces and nephews too. The ages are 10 months to 4 years so have got them books, jigsaws, colouring bits and stickers, bubbles for outside and some sweets for the older two. We’re doing speeches first so  probably have the bags on their seats/high chairs.xx

We've got one 2yr old, two 3yr olds, one 5, one 7 and oldest is 10.  Your activity packs sound brill. Now I'm thinking of bubbles too ๐Ÿ˜€ we are doing speeches after food so reckon if we have them on their seats they will get bored of them by the speeches. You've done it the right way round ๐Ÿ˜€ xx

Doesn't feel any different from when we just engaged tbh! Nah we aren't doing anything special for our wedding anniversary but its our 10th overall anniversary in January so we are saving up for that instead and hopefully manage to go away for a few days somewhere since we didn't have a honeymoon xx

Ah lovely, have you got anywhere in mind? We haven't booked anything as yet but hoping to go on a Lil honeymoon in September as will hopefully be cheaper and a bit cooler as we will have our 2 children with us   xxx

We're the 28th July too ๐Ÿ˜Š  hard to believe it's come around so fast for us, been engaged nearly two years now... Is anyone else hoping this weather lasts or would you rather it cooler?  Bit worried we'll all be fainting in our finery! ๐Ÿ˜‚

II hope the weather is nice but wouldnt mind couple little clouds for photos so everyone not squinting.  And hopefully is a little cooler. I've got paper fans arriving today and going to put them in a little basket incase, thought they might be handy if it is hot. Xxx

Fans!! This is a fab idea, think I might get some for Vegas. I think they’d be appreciated.

Yes I also think they will be appreciated if it is hot. We have got 70 day guests, only ordered 50 though as don't think everyone will have one. They were delivered this morning and I love them. :-)

Here's the link for the ones I ordered,

    www.partybagsrus.co.uk/paper-fan-party-bag-toys-1465-p.asp

Says they are party bag fillers but also good for weddings so thought I would take a chance on them and glad I did as they will be small enough when folded down to go in handbags and they re quite sturdy for their purpose. Also as they aren't expensive doesn't really matter if they don't get used or get left at the end of the night. xx

Well it's wedding week. And just as I expected already had couple stressy moments. First the suits didn't arrive on Monday like they were supposed to so they had to try them on Tuesday evening instead, wasn't ideal but that's sorted now. Then Tuesday morning I see my sister in law putting Facebook posts on about "change is good" and "embrace it" all while cheating on my sister so I phone my sister and hear her crying saying that my sister I'm law isn't coming to the wedding and they are over etc start panicking and try and talk to my sister and make her see she's worth more than that. Anyway couple hours later, sister phones back saying that they've talked and decided she's coming. What!! Anyway that's that. Then my other sister who's flying from Edinburgh Wednesday morning,  has a gall bladder attack, first one she's had in 7weeks but assured me she's ok and will be on the plane. And now tonight, our 7 month old decided he wanted to be up 12-3 which he never does, hes gone bk to sleep and now I'm wide awake!!! Right no more to go wrong now ๐Ÿ˜‘ xxx

Ooh I’ve thought of fans previously but not seen them that reasonable! Are they an ok size when they are opened out?xx

  • Leannjuly18Leannjuly18 Posts: 179

Yep they are, they do the job which ia the main xx

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like their wedding isn't really happening. I'm 3 weeks away and still doesn't feel real despite everything being done and paid for. Maybe it's because I've been planning for over 2 years.

Definitely!  Also been planning for nearly two years, wedding date is the 28th and it def. doesn't feel real!  I think we've found it all a little too easy and stress free once we'd booked the venue so we're panicking in case there are vital things we've forgot!
