Wedding Invitation Design

Hello everyone,

I have an idea of the type of invitations I would like and prior to involving a professional to design them, I would like to give it a go myself first. Are there any websites/ apps/ programmes that you would recommend could be a great place to start for designing your own invites.

Any sites that have templates would be great.

If you designed your own, what programme/ website/ package did you use?

Thank you!!

  • Have you tried the website Canva... I first found it as I use it for work but they've got some wedding invite designs on there that you can adapt to suit your wedding. Plus, it's free!
  • I'd also really recommend Canva, i have used them for a few bits and their templates are great, but its really easy to use if you want to start from scratch anyway!
  • Thank you @MrsA-NToBe and @CoffeeDogAddict I will check it out.
  • Weblium builder has free and prepaid versions for wedding websites. Both are ok for a wedding website, I used website templates and pro plan. Fully satisfied with the service.

I designed my own using picmonkey. I made the save the dates, formal invites and evening invites too xxx
  • I also recommend Canva :) I used a template of a layout and changed it all by adding free elements I found on pinterest. Was super easy and then only had to pay for printing which was like £25 for 50 x

We just used Vistaprint, there are loads of templates on there. We buggered about with some free templates for a while, but in the end Vistaprint was cheaper and easier.

  • Hi @Beatrice25, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get your Canva invites printed? And how did you actually get 'high quality' free images, that's the bit i'm struggling with!

    Thanks, Nikki
