To do list - have I missed anything?

Hi All,

In an aim to ensure I have everything organised I have made a list of what I have completed and what is left to do. Have I missed anything or any suggestions on what else I need to think about? We are getting married on 5th October and I know it will be here before I know it!

  • Venue
  • Wedding night accommodation
  • Registrar booked & paid
  • DJ
  • Photographer
  • Cake
  • String duo for ceremony
  • Toastmaster
  • Wedding dress bought
  • Bridesmaid dresses & gifts
  • Hair & Make-up
  • Flowers
  • Day invites sent
To Do
  • Renew passport (so I can do the below!)
  • Give notice
  • Grooms suit, shoes & accessories
  • Check with groomsmen what suits they have
  • Groomsmen ties/pocket squares
  • Evening invites
  • Favours (we are making these so its a case of getting the designs done and printed)
  • Table plan
  • Order of service? We are having civil ceremony so not sure if needed?
  • Wedding signs
  • Place cards
  • Buy table decorations - we are having tea lights but any other suggestions?
  • Cake boxes for people to take it home
  • Confetti
  • Card box
  • Grooms gift box
  • Parents gifts
  • Decide if we have canapés (our wedding is at 1pm with wedding breakfast at 3/3.30)
  • Book videographer (we are seeing if we have budget!)

    You've missed an important one - the rings! Have you sorted your transport? Other than that, the only things I can see you've missed are dress alterations (if you need them) and little details like shoes, jewellery, veil, etc. 

  • Oh lordy! How could I miss the rings oops - especially since I am literally scouring everywhere for them at the moment!

    We don't need transport as luckily everything is in one place

    I will add on the little bits you mentioned as I've realised not got the lingerie nor pj's etc :)

    Are you going for something old, new, borrowed and blue? I would also consider an emergency kit with plasters, hair grips, blister pads, safety pins etc.
