help with entertainment ideas

Help

Have no idea of what entertainment to have. I'm having a May wedding and the reception is taking place in a country house. My fianc????e and bridesmaid would like a ceilida but my mum and me aren't sure. I can't dance and don't really enjoy it so I'm stuck. My fear is that whatever I do the guests won't like it and won't get up and dance.

Any ideas????

:\?

  • What budget are you working with.

We have booked all of ours (except our band because we are yet to look into that) through Bulldog Entertainment.

Give them a call they may have a few ideas.

How is the rest of your planning going?

    Is it this May?

  • Everyone will dance to a disco at the end of the night!!

    We are having

Wedding singer - jason Issacs who does ratpack swing songs (80 mins)

Then having a live band who do all songs like the killers, kings of leon etc and we are having a disco fill in the gaps... music to cater for most peoples tastes.

Could you think about mix and match.

  • Thank you for your replies - not sure how to write to indvidual people so i'll do a group reply.

Looked at the Bulldog Entertainment - looks very interesting and a good mix. I'm getting marries May 2013 - I like to plan in advance.

love the idea of a mix match - and for your faith in that people will dance :\)

  • We are having a band - one that does all types of songs - so something for everybody. And ALL the reports I have heard say how fantastic they are at getting everybody up and dancing - exactly what we want! We are also having a casino - and a chocolate fountain. Hope this will be enough to keep everybody entertained!!!
  • Wow you do like to book in advance!

I bet any band is still available haha.

Did you give Bulldog a ring?

We had ours dealt with by Josh. He was great.

I phoned him clueless as to what I wanted and all of the sudden I had all this fantastic entertainment booked.

Hoping to confirm my band this week!

    wooooop!

    Can't recommend enough.

I agree, everybody will get up and dance!

    We booked Vicki Goddard

http://www.vickigoddard.com for our new year party. She had everybody up dancing screaming for more, so we are now hiring her for our wedding also!

    Hey everyone!

Adam Thomas (solo or with a big band) is the best I've seen. He's fab!! Site is www.adamthomasonline.com so have a look for yourselfimage

I couldn't hire entertainment that I hadn't seen (on a video at the very least) but then I am really fussy;)

    Good luck everyone
