Show us yer sweetie buffets

hi ladies,

What sweets did / is everyone having?

Can we see pics of yours or what you would like? image

I'm thinking:

Flying saucers

Marshmallows

Jelly beans

Fruit salad / blackjack (although not sure where to get them)

Little meringues

That's about all I've decided - can't afford to spend much though and need ideas - inspiration image

We spent around £70 on sweets including p&p. The things that went first were the meringues, lollies and French fancies image

I got my sweets from sweetstall.com

Hi Hannikins- where did you get your jars and vases? Love it!!!
  • SWEETS image I love Clare's sweetie mood board! My issue is h2b is vegetarian so won't eat haribo, marshmallows, any jelly sweets that type of thing which I think limits us boiled sweets? Which is boring, but I'd like to cater for him as well as everyone else - any ideas?

Hi Mrs Stone, i'm also a veggie and there are LOADS of sweets we can eat! Starburst and skittles are veg-friendly, M&S have recently bought out veggie percy pigs, Chewits are vegetarian, try and get the ice cream flavour, they are lovely! certain haribos are veggie, these are my fav

    http://www.online-sweets.co.uk/giant-sour-strawberries-haribo-p-2465.html also these http://www.pickasweet.co.uk/product502675_1796859.aspx

jelly belly jelly beans are good, flying saucers, jelly tots, smarties (in fact most chocolates!) lost of cakes (unfortunatly the red/pink colouring in french fancies and other mr kipling cakes is not suitable) but the other colours are fine!

    hope this helps xxx
  • Why don't you have a mixture.. so that you H2B can eat, and some for others!
  • Ladies I've just bought lovehearts and am going to empty them into a bowl.

Also saw some small jelly beans in aldi, 79p per 200g bags which I thought was good?

They alsohad marshmallows for 99p for 300g which is good.

Then they had haribo bears 89p for 250 g but not sure if you can get them cheaper?

Plus bags of rubard n custards/ pear drops for 69p per 200 g bags which sounds good?

Asda do bags of sweets too, 3 smallish bags for £1

    So, I am thinking....

    Marshmallows

    Flying saucers

    Jelly beans

    Love hearts

    Mini meringues

    M n m's (or a cheap version)

    Rhubarbs n custard

Maybe some kind of tall sweet

Maybe fruit salad / black jack if I can find them anywhere

    And possibly couple more things

What do you think of the selection?

Can you think of what else would compliment this selection?

    Thanks image x
  • Lovehearts are vegan as my friend ate loads at my wedding.

My sister did my sweetie table and asked all the wedding party for their favourite sweets. I remember there being lollies, flying saucers, sherbet tubes, liquorice allsorts, jelly babies, and some old fashioned violet sweet. It went down a storm. We even had scoops, name tags and personalised little bags. image
