Wedding Entertainment Ideas please?!

Hi,

I would love some help with wedding entertainment ideas, through the day and evening reception. I've looked for usual sort of thing, but maybe looking for ideas that are a little different?

Any help from the forum members would be amazing! Thank you in advance. :-)

We had an acoustic singer for after dinner and before the DJ started and he went down a treat, everyone raves about him!! x

We have an acoustic duo for the ceremony and drinks reception. They sounded amazing when we went for a taster food session at our venue and gave the place a really relaxing vibe. We don't have any entertainment for the meal other than an iPod full of music. Then we have a photo booth in the evening.

We are having an accoustic singer in the lull after the afternoon tea and before the evening do starts, also having lawn games at this time. In the evening we have a photo booth planned.

We booked our singer on Alive Network. They have loads of entertainment ideas too on their website.

Alive Network seem to be quite big, a friend of mine booked a swing band (can't remember their name) for her reception which went down really well through them, they had everyone up dancing until the end of the night! What about singing waiters? Bit different

  • Hi Amanda

have you considered having a photobooth at your evening event?  They are really quite popular at the moment and provide a pretty fun and unique way for your guests and you to create some lasting memories.  I could PM you some more details if your interested.

    Cheers

    Hi there,

Have you considered booking a harpist? We're really flexible about moving round a venue (I am one!) and cost a lot less than a band or group like a string quartet. Music covered includes everything from recent pop tunes like Sam Smith, Adele, John Legend etc through to well-known classical, jazz, folk and even bollywood!

We look great too - the harp is a really decorative instrument and can tie in a ceremony, drinks and meal seamlessly, adding great continuity to your day.

My website is www.harpist-uk.co.uk if you'd like more information!

    Hey,

Have you considered something a little unique? www.chimpsta.com offer your guests to be the budding photographers of the day, using social media to upload their images and receive instant printouts.

Have a look at the website, its sure to get everyone involved. Chimpsta is currently offering large discounts for brides and grooms-to-be who wish to share their stories with us.

    Have an amazing day!

    xx

We have got lawn games for the drinks reception and evening, then a PS4 racing tournament later on with a bucket seat, steering wheel etc. I am debating a selfie mirror photo booth thing...just working out if it is worth it or not xx

We had a harpist during the day and  photo booth and casino tables from after meal until 10pm.  Everyone said how much fun they had X
