I’ve fallen in love with the Jenny Packham Eden dress in Ivory and I can’t find it anywhere even second hand. Any ideas?
It looks to be discontinued. Your only option really is getting lucky and finding it on a pre-loved site. This doesn't strike me as the kind of gown that would easily be replicated by a seamstress, so I wouldn't suggest contemplating that route.
Have you actually tried this dress on? These "1920's" style gowns with the loose fitting bodice and dropped waists have a very unique look - one that is not flattering to all body types. I only mention this to help assuage the disappointment if you can't find one.
David's Bridal does a budget line of Jenny's now. Maybe there is a design there that is similar enough to your liking.
It's not the same dress but Maggie Sottero's Ettia is very similar in style and still carried by a number of shops.
Thanks I also saw The Esme dress which is great too. I would consider second hand due to price:) it could be my something borrowed
The Eden gown has been added back to JP collection to celebrate 30th anniversary
I am currently looking for a pre-loved Eden or Esme gown
I can only suggest the usual pre love dress sites. The Maggie Sottero is very similar but at a fraction of the price. I tried all 3 on back in 2016 when I was looking and even though I was a size 8 ended up looking like an overweight bag of spuds, Kitty is right that they have a specific look, so maybe try something similar to decide whether it’s worth pursuing as you could spend hours tracking them down to end up disappointed. I was so deflated as I hadn’t even considered looking at anything else.
May be worth sending this lady a message if you haven't already
