Your honest opinion on this dress...

I tried it on at home, I haven't had it professionally fitted yet:

I hope these work. Please be honest, don't just say it's nice becasue you think I want to hear it is, I want to hear the truth.

  • I only comment on dresses if I actually like them....

...yours is lovely, genuinely. Sleek and detailed all at the same time. Doesn't look like it needs much altering. Do you mind me asking who it's by? x

Beautiful... and I don't usually like that style of dress. It's stunning x
  • I don't think it needs altering, only I asked them to put straps on and they are slightly too loose. Also, the back panel needs the poppers to be moved.

Ah, I will reveal that when I've had some more feedback image

It really suits you.....looks lovely. x
  • I completely understand you wanting reassurance that you have not made a mistake in choosing your dress, but if it "The Dress" for you, and by the way, it looks stunning, then be happy!
  • Ok, that's enough replies to reveal lol. I bought it from one of those e-bay sellers from China for £101 (inc delivery). It was delivered within 30 days of ordering.

I think it's lovely, but then I know this much
  • Hi I think it looks beautiful, really suits your figure and whilst its not too ornate it has some lovely detailing to make it special. I'm guessing either someone has made it for you or you have made it yourself (if so, I want one too!). Only because my friends Mam makes dresses and offered to make mine and suggested this style. If I am right then that person is very good as the fit is excellent.
  • OMG really?? I am stunned, it's beautiful! Please could you post the seller id so we can have a look? x
  • Damn...I was wrong! What an amazing bargain and it fits so well. You lucky thing! Well done.
  • Really...they are called asapbay. I did some research on them outside of ebay to see what comments had been other than their feedback on ebay and decided to take the risk as all I read was good.

The lady that does all the enquires is called Landy and she's/he's so helpful.

The original dress wasn't meant to have straps or a lace-up back but they did those for no extra cost.

I like it, I think the quality of stitching is good, and the material seems as good quality as I saw in a bridal store.

I would have bought from a store, but am getting married in June and there was no time to get the one I liked (Pronuptia Rita), although to be honest I think this is better...
  • I have looked at Rita (we obviously have very similar taste!) No one would ever know you hadn't paid hundreds and hundreds for it, it's lovely. I'm very tempted now.....don't know if I dare, even though I know I should after seeing yours! x
  • I went to three shops, the first two I was nearly giving up on the idea of getting married as I hated all the dresses. The I tried on Rita and liked it, but they said if I ordered there and then they'd be able to get it a week before the wedding so I was too chicken lol. Plus, I'm a size 12, 14 on top (in certain shops!) and they wanted to order me a size 20. Funilly enough 20 was the very size where the dresses increased in price...

  • Cheeky buggers aren't they?! You've got the last laugh though, a fab dress, and enough money left over for some beautiful Gina shoes...! x

well I definitely wouldn't have guessed ebay and £101!! I think it looks lovely you must be thrilled.
  • I keep getting it out to have another peek lol.

So, yes off to splurge on shoes now...

I think it's great, i really wish I'd looked into the internet options before buying my dress - lucky you!
  • I can't believe you got that for £101!!!

It looks great on and suits your shape.

Loads of the dresses are made in China so you got the same but without the rip-off designer price tag. Go girl!

Wow what a bargain! before you said how much I thought it must have cost a lot! And you look stunning in it you really do!

    xx
  • Hi Serenjen,

This is my first post so I hope it is okay? Am feeling slightly shy and nervous.

re: your dress below - I am so interested in buying one for myself. I have had a look at the shop on ebay and am not sure which dress it is? Is it HS1358?

I know you posted ages ago about this but I would really appreciate your help.

    Thanks so much
