Hi congrats and welcome - you'll become addicted to this site lol.

Were planning our wedding for Cyprus next August and are planning on spending between 5 and 7k which is totally do able.

Ours is only as much as were staying in a 4/5 star hotel which has cost 2.5k so you could easily do it on 5k.

If I were you I'd get the flower girls dresses from Debenhams or BHS or if you're a little braver try It's a company on China who hand makes all the dresses to your specifications. Good luck, xx

  • Hello! We got married in paphos in july, it was just perfect! Check out the lady who runs the company is called Chriso and she could'nt have done enough for us x

We get married in 30 days and our wedding is costing £3,500 with a 2 week all inclusive holiday for 2 adults and 2 childresn, a sit down 3 course meal with alcohol for 20 and the total price includes the rings, bridesmaids dresses (4) pageboy outfits (4) and my dress and hubbies suit.

It all depends on what you prioritise as important. To us it was to have a great day without any worries, more than all the little details.

We are staying at the Golden Coast Hotel in Protaras and getting married in the gazebo there.

Hi Ktbelle, We booked with First choice, the day that the brochures came out in April last year. It's really worth doing this as within 6 weeks the prices had nearly doubled!!

  • Hi

It is very easy to have a perfect wedding without it costing a fortune.

We get married 19th June 2009 at Yermasoyia Town Hall Limassol Cyprus.

The 2 weeks in a 4 star all inclusive hotel with thomas cook wedding package which includes admin fees, cake, bridal flowers, buttton holes and photos for me and hsb was £2000

We then hired the most fantastic wedding planner who is very reasonable and if you email me il give you her name email address etc and she arranged for us our reception

For 20 people - 2 hour champagne cruise around limassol and then a sit down meal for 20 people in a local beachside taverna total cost £980. bargain

We have added extra bits and bats but all the basics are there huni, we have had a photographer and 36 photos from her, wedding car and bridal hair and make up .. total cost £520

    Rounding everything up

Hotel and Thomas Cook Wedding Package -£2000

Champagne Yacht reception for 20 and sit down meal for 20 £980

    Extras £520

    Total Cost £3500

We also have booked a reception at home,

    Room £100

    DJ £120

    Food £200

    total £620

All this is still coming in under the budget of 5k and bear in mind we have gone over the top there are some things you dont need.

    Anymore questions just ask

    Hi Steph

I chatted to you before, remember me!. I was reading your note there and you're doing exactly what i want to do with the champagne cruise but i think i'd like to marry in the hotel grounds although most seem to be stating that i have to have my reception there.

Would you have any info (photos, website of the town hall) and info on how you chose your beachside taverna?

By the way, your dress and hair is absolutely stunning.

  • Hi Kathryn

I decided to get married in the town hall as it is more private then the hotel grounds as everyone can atch but thats my personal preference. I use a fabulous wedding planner for all my reception she is out of this world, really reasonable and can organise either you whole wedding or just the reception etc. Thanks about my wedding dress although im not having my hair like that it was just a mess about with my sis lol

    Hi Steph

Is the wedding planner Dinah or through Thomas Cook?

  • it is dinah and she is fab . have you booked something through her
  • kathdevkathdev Posts: 134
I haven't booked anything yet. I've been emailing her loads and every question i have for her she comes back with an answer so she seems fantastic.

Do you mind if i ask the name of the beachside taverna that she organised for you? What hotel you staying at and how long are you going over for?
  • i am staying at the atlantica oasis, im staying for 2 weeks and i cant remember the name of the taverna .. sorry

do get in touch with wedding planner dinah. we are using her and she is great and so organised!! And such good value.
  • Hi ktbelle,

try contacting they are really reasonable and quick to answer any questions.

you can cut your budget by going self catering and using a good resturant for the reception.

try avanti holiday village for accomodation its great

    hope this helps
