Who is getting married in Italy? Or has looked into getting married in Italy?

Hi Laddies,

I have just started a new wedding planning business. I am Italian but live in the UK.

My business specialises in Planning weddings in Italy.I already run a company that plans wedding in Sicily but I am now wanting to expend into Italy.

I just wanted to know if any brides are getting

married in Italy? If so where?

If you looked at Italy but decided to marry else where why?

Are you using a planner? What made you choose that planner over others?

If any one needs any advice then please ask. I promise I will try and help and I will not try and sell you my servicesimage

Thanks in advance

Carmela

  • Hi Carmela.

We're getting married in Italy! We love the country and it took us ages to decide where to get married, we decided on Positano and are very happy with our choice. We're planning everything ourselves with no planners at all, Positano town hall have been great and I'm hoping there'll be no complications!

    Hi

Postiano is a beautiful part of Italy. When are you getting married? What made you decide not to use a planner?

  • Hi

Were getting married in Italy in Fiesole in florence it so beautifull there we cant wait we get married on 24th June 2012 so not long away now.

We have used a planner who is great and also his prices arent to bad either we chose him as he done the most work without any deposit or even asking for any deposit were the other it felt like that was all they were interested in he went to view venue for us to narrow it down and took pics for us and emailed them to us which was great i have done some of the planning mainly cause am a bit controlling so i might find somehting i like or a company i will email the details over to wedding planner and he does the contacting ect also my florist doesnt speak english at all so he transltes which is great.

if you need any more info let me know

    Hi,

    Poppy power.

Thank you for your reply. Not long till your wedding, I'm sure it will be lovely.

It's is difficult for planners to know when to start charging the clients. I always try and give my clients all the imformation they need so they can make the right distion for them.

Did you go over and see the venues before you booked?

    Carmela
  • yes the wedding planner went and viewed the venues we liked and sent us pics and then we decided on the 3 we really liked and went over april just gone to view them. We ended up chosen a castle in the fiesole hills x

  • Hi poppypower, thanks for getting back to me image Do you know of any hair and make-up artists in the area, as I just can't find any! x
  • My wedding planner has found mine for me i will see if i have the details on my work email and sedn you them do u need anything else ?

also not sure if you have had any prices for hair and makeup but its quite pricey bout 200euro hair and same for makeup with a trail as well you get then bridesmaids are 50euros each just so your not chocked at the price image

This is about right for Italy though as i contacted a few and wedding planner the same and they all came out bout the same price
  • Yes I had heard that it was quite pricey so prepared for that! Just really don't want the hassle of having to worry about it on the day so probably worth the money if we can squeeze the budget a bit. I think everything else is pretty much under control - if I think of anything else though I'll let you know image So how's your planning going? Sounds like you're pretty sorted!

Your right ladies, hair and make up is expensive in Italy. But it's worth spending the money on it. Mist brides want to make sure their hair and make up is perfect because if it isn't then they wont feel their best

  • I looked into Italy but found it very expensive tbh, which is a shame because it looks beautiful and I would've loved to have considered it as a venue image

That is shame, some parts can be expensive but a good planner should have venues and locations to suit all budgets! X
