    1) Which country was your wedding in?

    Canada

    2) Where did you stay?

Banff (for the three days around the ceremony then we travelled around)

    3) Where did you get married?

    Lakeside

    4) Where did you have the reception

    Melissa's Restaurant

    5) What time of day was the ceremony?

    2pm? I think!

    6) How many guests did you have?

    3

    7) Did your guests stay in the same hotel?

    No

8 ) Were the venue decorations provided by the venue?

Didn't have any, just had the lakes and the mountains

    9) Did you book through a wedding planner or travel agent?

I booked everything direct with the exception of the paperwork/legal wedding bit that we used a wedding planner for.

    10) What flowers did you have?

I took my bouquet with me, I made it myself from silk flowers

    11) What was the photographer like?

Very good, we gave her a list of the places we were staying and when we arrived at one our photos were waiting there for us to take home with us

    12) Did you have entertainment?

    No

    13) What was the cake like?

Didn't have one until we had our UK reception 7 ish weeks after we got back

    14) Did you upgrade on anything?

    No

    15) Did you have a honeymoon afterwards?

We were in Canada for one week before the ceremony and two weeks afterwards

    16) Did you have any extras?

    Not for the ceremony

    17) Would you recommend your wedding?

Without a doubt! It was amazing

    18) Would you change anything about your day?

No, maybe a little less windy as it was difficult for our photographer to get photos of us without my hair being blown over my (and my husbands) face!

    19) How much did your wedding abroad cost in total?

The whole three weeks, including wedding outfits, ceremony etc was under £6000. We then had a UK reception for 120 day guests and a total of 300 in the evening which took our total spend to £10k

    20) Was your wedding abroad worth every penny and the BEST day of your life?

Yes! Was worth it and we are both so happy we chose to do it this way. Having a UK reception meant we got two 'wedding' days too and we didn't feel rushed or under pressure to fit everything in. Highly recommended! image
