    Hi,

I was a bridesmaid for my friends wedding in Tuscany. She got married at the town hall/church then had a villa reception which also accommodates guests. I was almost going to book my wedding there too but wanted something different and not to copy my friend either.

She used a wedding planner called Marco who was fantastic and accommodating. He owns two wedding villas and also is the main wedding planner... you can find out more info on here...

This is from my personal experience as mentioned I was a bridesmaid and the bride was highly satisfied with their professional service.xx

Depends where in Italy you want to get married. I am using Marry Me In Tuscany, they have been brilliant and cover the whole of Tuscany.

Costs vary and depend on how much help you need. 500€ to assist with town halls and paperwork to about 3000€ for organising and planning everything. I think its been worth every penny, so can't recommend using one enough.

Am getting married umbria and using umbria wedding and events and my planner is amazing she covers all of Italy after lots of quotes ranging right up to €10,000 euro we went with because of her work and she was €1000 which was a really good price I thought after hitting many quotes xx

I said up to 3000€ and this is for doing absolutely everything for you, we haven't gone for this package we have gone for midrange and we feel it's good value some people were charging crazy prices with flashy websites and then pushing expensive suppliers on you.

Find two or three and set up Skype calls we went with the one who got us and what we were after.

  • I'm going to get married on the Amalfi Coast and my cousin Claudia Ruocco is a wedding planner and also has her own tour business called Costa Diva tours. She would offer a discount as I've recommended you.

That's if you're thinking of getting married in that part of Italy? Do you have an idea of where you'd like to get married yet?

  • Hi Amy429,

I would like to introduce our website, www.stylemyweddignitaly.com.  We are an Italian wedding directory website.  It is free to use and you will find some great suppliers on here.

For wedding planning, we would suggest www.italianstyleweddings.com, they come highly recommended and plan weddings across Italy.

Hope you find this useful, have a great day!

  • Hi Amy429, I'm getting married in Rome in may 2018, eloping there for the civil ceremony and a small reception with families and closest friends. I think Rome is a great choice, since you have everything there, art, culture and I found the prices affordable!

I'm using Alessia&Alexander italian wedding planner rome and I'm very happy because they are always quick to reply, very nice and very organized. They are a great help with the paperwork (I started by myself and it was impossible to communicate with the italian offices, it seems rare that employers speak english).

    This is their website: http://www.italianweddingplannerinrome.com/

    Hope it helps!

    Hi Rebecca-Kelly,

I'm hoping to get married in Rome in June 2020 and have been considering working with Alessia & Alexander based on your recommendation. I was just wondering, how has the service been since your last post? Have they lived up to your expectations as the planning progressed?

Your wedding is really close now so hoping everything is planned and working out just as you've hoped!

  • Hey

I am getting married on the East Coast of Italy in September and have been using www.designmyitalianwedding.com - Dominique is English but works between the two countries.  She has been great and has found us our perfect venue and knows exactly what we want.    There were so many language barriers without a planner so couldn't have done it without her - not to mention the paper work for an church wedding (it is crazyyyyy!!!!).  Her rates are 10% of budget for the party abroad and she handles payments for me.

    Hope that helps!! xx
