Hair and Make up in Italy - Recommendations needed!

Does anybody have any recommendations for hair and make up in Italy? I am getting married next year in Tuscany.

Thanks!

Snap! We get married in May in Tuscany. I'm taking my own out with me - found both a hair and makeup person from up North (I'm in London) who are really reasonable and I love their work. It's working out much cheaper to fly them out, put them up for two nights (they'll share a room) and have them do hair and makeup for me, six bridesmaids and my Mum than it would have cost for just me and my MOH in Italy. All of the quotes I got were for around 700 Euros just for me! I'm also not crazy about any of their work.

The other suggestion is do you have a friend/BM who could do hair, makeup or both? I did makeup for my best friend's overseas wedding last year for her, her Mum and six BMs including myself. I did a couple of classes, invested in some good products (as did she) and it came out pretty well, if I say so myself. It was quite stressful and a lot of pressure, so I wouldn't rush to do it again but when there are no reasonable alternatives then it might work well and save a fortune too!

I used these guys www.armillabeauty.com/ who were recommended to me by my Wedding Planner, they were really reasonably priced and I think I paid 450€ for me, BM, MOB and SIL.

The website and gallery isn't great, but they did my hair and make up beautifully and it stayed put all day and night in the sweltering heat and I wouldn't recommend them if I didn't think they were any good.

    Hi,

I am a professional Hair & makeup Artist with over 6 years experience and now based in London. I was preciously based in Manchester but have moved to London and continued my work here.

I have worked on many Brides and Bridesmaids and specialise in Bridal and Party Hair and Makeup.

In regards to Destination weddings, my clients have always found it often works out better to take someone from the UK that to leave their big day to someone abroad who may have a different sense of style and trends to those in th UK. I cater for Destination weddings as long as it’s booked in advance and can tailor a package and quote to suit your needs.

Please take a look at my website and email me for any enquiries at: [email protected] or get in touch via the website.

    Regards,

    Shegina

Thank you so much for the advise! I am also getting married in May!  I think it would be easier to have somebody in the area due to the amount of bridesmaids/family members who will need their hair doing but it just seems crazy the amount they charge in Italy compared to in the UK! Do you mind sharing who you have booked from here to fly out?

  • Nope, I don't know much about Italian. But using a new brand "Actinera" and got stunning experience while I was in Nevada, USA last week. My whole family was there. And was searching for a new beauty brand. Though Actinera is totally new but offers high-quality and 14 days money back guarantees to its users. Happy to use Actinera products so far. LOL!
