I have the implant, it's due out in 6 months and I was wondering if it would make any differe to weight loss. Thank you!

I put a little bit back in during my Morocco trip a few weeks ago, I’ve just invested in some smart scales which are useful, lost the majority of the 5lbs I put on in Morocco so Im back to 13”6- loss of 1.5lb this week.

H2B also tried the smart scales, turns out he weighs a stone less than me and has pointlessly low body fat so is swanning round the house like he’s some kind of Olympic athlete.. can you tell he’s getting on my nerves this morning?!?

Also it’s my birthday tomorrow and H2Bs on Friday, and we are heading back to Leicester over easter, so i am not hopeful about loosing next week!

I’ve had some horrible family stuff over the past few weeks, along with mine, mums and H2Bs birthday.

I put on 4.5lbs from 27/3 (weighed myself last week).

Today Ive lost 1lb this week, so back down to 13”9.25.

Going to try and log every week as I need to hold myself accountable, otherwise I just think oh well the wedding is ages away.

  • I've had 3 months of not following any diet plan, my dress fits but I have now signed up to a 5k run in June to spur me on. I did my first run last night from couch to 5k followed by 30dayshred when I got in.

Bit aching today and it's my first 500 calorie fast day. I'm hungry. But I can wait until my Weight Watchers soup for lunch (76cals) meaning I have 424 for tea (or dinner depending where you live)

I haven't weighed myself, but my aim is to be fitter for the hikes and 12 mile kayak we've got planned!

Just catching up on this thread and laughed to myself as I am still 18lbs to go! HA. How pathetic am I!? That’s it now though for celebration stuff, down to the nitty gritty. 7wks on Thursday. 18lbs is the dream, 11lbs would be lovely! Fingers crossed! x

  • GinAndBlingGinAndBling Posts: 1,310 New bride

Oh MrsT not long to go now! 11lbs is definitely doable- 1.5 lb a week and an extra .5 one week for luck.

how you feeling? have you got much else to sort? X

Yes. I’ve eaten 540 today, which isn’t quite the magic number but f**k, is the first day hard ๐Ÿ˜‚ it isn’t like I’ve pigged out. My fitness pal tells you off for under eating to. I’m glad cause I don’t think the “you would weight X in 5 weeks if you ate like this” would be good. I struggle with hanger myself, running joke where people live in fear of me getting hungry! So I’m surprised at my mood today! Not to grumpy at all!

Tomorrow Im hoping to do run 2 in week 1, but may have to do that Sunday / Saturday! So long as I get some sort of 30minute work out in!

    We can do this!

GinAndBling - When you put it like that it makes me feel a lot better! I fluctuate very quickly so I know I’ll manage the first few lbs easily enough, the real struggle will come when I hit 10stone whatever...

I am feeling quite organised, thank you for asking! I’ve found it’s gone in stages... too far away to do things, then a big rush, now I’m back in the ‘too long to go’ phase...

I’ve got the gifts to put in the bags. The boxes I did have been bashed and creased, a little advice from me would be to avoid doing stuff too soon unless you have lots of room! I’ve also got the table plan to finish, the Ceremony music to put on disc, the final payments to make to the Venue. Also got the song requests to send to the band... Engagement shoot at the beginning of May, meeting with the florist next week... Now I have started writing things out I am maybe not as organised as I thought I was!! ๐Ÿ˜ซ

So I've just had my implant out (not for that reason) and I've heard that it can make a difference with weight loss. I've had an implant for 9 years now, and have gone onto the pill so will be interested to see what difference it makes, if any.

2lb loss this week, down to 13 stone 7.5.

Ive upped the exercise lots but still had a few treats (including a drunken Friday in the pub and a curry with friends). Going in the right direction now though, just over 10lbs lost.

Can I join please? I have ALOT of weight to lose...6 stone just to get back down to the weight I was when I was a size 12-14 :(

Currently a 20-22 and don't even have height on my side, I'm only 5ft 2". I have PCOS (which I've just started taking Metformin for), asthma and plantar fasciitis which make exercise challenging. I used to love to run but my feet and knees can't take it now.

I started dieting properly a week ago  - a combination of SW principles and tracking my food using MyFitnessPal. Had a couple of weak moments but lost 3 1/2 lb. Just need to keep it up now as would like to be a lot slimmer by new year when I'd like to start dress shopping.

We have a toddler, and unfortunately due to the fact my fiance leaves for work very early and gets back very late, it's very hard for me to go to a SW group or join the gym. I also have a very deskbound job.

We've started walking more at weekends as a family and I'm going to start doing HIIT videos at home in the evenings too since they are easily available on Youtube and require very little equipment.

Well done ladies with all your efforts - wish me luck!

    Hi MrsC!

Well done you, 3.5 is amazing in a week. I'm deskbound too. I have been listening to my fitbit a lot more which tells me to stand up every hour and do 150 steps minimum, and I've been using my lunch break to go for a walk which helps, otherwise I just sit at my desk (and eat!).

    Good luck xx

I'm back on it, I've put on over half a stone and really need to get on top of things.  I've just registered for the Manchester 10k on 20 May so the incentive is there to up my game.  Just need to remember not to reward myself after a run haha!

My sister in law who was a similar size to me has just lost an awful lot of weight with the help of her Fitbit, I'm very tempted to invest in one!

It's so motivating to read about your fantastic results, it gives me hope that I'll be able to lose my tummy, and the excess fat I have on my thighs.

I started eating a lot of chia seeds, and quinoa also, and lots and lots of veggies. Plus, I'm exercising 3 times a week.

Keep up the good work girls, we can do it!

No scale loss this week, but I’ve lost .1% body fat so I’m taking it as a win!

i also went for my first run in ages this week. I am not a runner, I don’t enjoy it and think it’s only necessary if I’m being chased. BUT I thought I’d give it a go seeing as the weather is improving. Watch this space!

image Just been for my second run this week. I’m not very speedy and I thought my heart was going to fall out of my chest but I’m getting there. Had a brief moment of madness when I got in and thought “I might sign up to do the London marathon next year you know..” got half way through filling in the ballot form before the page crashed. I’m taking that as a sign from a higher authority that it was a stupid idea. Running before you can walk and all that ๐Ÿ˜‚
