Please help!!


I am not due till December but really want to find out my rights now! I work full time but after baby is born I may want to go down to 2 days a week. Do I have any rights to do this or can my boss tell me that my job now is full time so I have to come back full time??

Any help would be much appreciated.

    It depends where you work and basically also depends on your contract. Not all companies offer flexible working. Where I work in order to get your maternity pay at the full time rate you are on before you go on maternity leave you need to come back to work in that same pattern for at least a month. I am not sure if this is the norm but your HR people should have a maternity leave policy which should cover all these things, and if they offer flexible working should have a policy on that as well.
