Paternity leave

I havnt done too much research yet but thought I would see if anyone is in same situation. Husband works shifts, full time. I'm full time student so won't get any maternity, is husband due to any extra paternity so I can continue with university?

Basically no - you have to have received maternity leave/pay/allowance for your husband to be entitled to additional paternity leave. The best thing to do is to see what your husband's company's paternity scheme is (if they have anything above statutory). Shared parental leave comes in from next year at some point (I think) which may make a difference https://www.gov.uk/government/news/shared-parental-leave.
