That’s great, so glad you enjoyed it. FH said the same about ours!
Our planning thread: We're completely winging it.
Our report: A fun, classic May day in navy and blush

Glad you all enjoyed the shoot and you were feeling better for it! Excited to see how the photos come out. I'm tempted by a pre-wedding shoot now too!

Finally got some shoes that fit all 3 flower girls - Primark does have it's uses! They are very sparkly in real life.

We were quite lucky getting all our day RSVPs in on time (I think because people had to give menu choices, though we did do a fair bit of nudging).
The evening RSVPs have gone completely the other way, apart from a few early on it's been radio silence. If we were doing a buffet I wouldn't care too much, but for the BBQ option we have to give more specific numbers to our venue. We've still got a couple of weeks to go before the deadline, then I'll have to start chasing. Plus the 2 day couples with on/off relationships still can't decide if they are on or off 🙄😂

On a happier note - me and my 2 bridesmaids paid off the Venice hen do today, so it's less than 6 weeks until that and just under 2 weeks until my UK hen! Excited 🤩

I’ve had exactly the same with evening invites, it’s been pretty much radio silence on the reply front. I appreciate it’s a long time away to commit to an evening but we need numbers!!

We got our pre-wedding shoot photos through from the photographer and he has done a fantastic job, taken some beautiful pics of OH and our son....but I am absolutely devastated by how I look in them. I've been suffering with some health issues recently which have made exercise all but impossible, and I'm the heaviest I've ever been. I thought the outfit I chose looked ok in the mirror but I actually look atrocious.
With 3 months to go it has spurred me on to join Slimming World again, I will never be thin but hopefully I can lose a bit as our wedding pics are going to be a write off otherwise.

I'm so sorry you're unhappy with how the photos have turned out. I hope you find slimming world helpful and fingers crossed for you!

Thanks CDA! I don't think it helped that I had awful sinusitis so my face was really swollen and puffy, plus my hair went absolutely mental into a weird frizzball 🙄 Also I'm a proper squinter in sunlight! I really feel awful for disliking them as it's 100% my own issues with my appearance, not the photographer, he was so lovely and really put us at ease

Oh i think you look so lovely! I know its hard, were all our own worst critics but you look happy, and like you're having fun and remember these are photos your son will be able to look back over and go "yup - thats my mum! Look how much fun we were having!" and its those memories that matter <3 You are beautiful.

Thanks ladies, I know I'm just being silly! I am biased of course but our son does look very cute in them - he's normally covered in mud and snot as he's a real boy's boy and digging in mud is hs favourite thing to do 😍

Got to start a bit if self maintenance tonight as it's my hen do this Saturday! Need to dye my hair, & sort my eyebrows and nails. Oh and make a decision on my outfit.

No idea what I'm doing except I need a swimsuit, a going out outfit and I'm being picked up at 8am and don't need breakfast! I have my suspicions but we'll see if I'm right 😂

Spotted your pics the other day but didn't have a chance to comment. As CDA says, we're our own worst enemy when it comes to things like this. I think you look lovely, the sparkle of being with your son and H2B is much more important and they are pictures he can cherish forever. But if SW helps you feel more confident for the day, then thats the main thing!
    Have the best hen do!!

Thanks ladies, that's really kind x

Well have spent the evening prepping for my hen do - I'm now plucked, shaved, dyed & exfoliated to within an inch of my life! Just got to try and get my nails sorted tomorrow. Looks like it's going to be a scorcher weather wise too which is great, there's always a nice atmosphere on nights out when the bars and restaurants have all their outdoor areas open!

Hen do was fab! I was picked up, taken for a McDonald's breakfast, then onto a hotel for a spa day - had a blissful massage and spent a lovely day in the pool and jacuzzi. Then we went to a Mexican restaurant where we had a really lovely meal & mojitos followed by naughty cupcakes, then we went onto the pub where we are getting married for more cocktails 😀
It wasn't a raucous night and there were no nightclubs or dancing as I had lots of pregnant/non-drinking hens but nevertheless was a really fantastic day and night and I was very spoilt. So lucky that so many people made an effort to come.

Did my nails myself as no time to have them done!

    Hen cupcakes!

I won't post pics of anyone else without their permission so no group pics 😀

Glad you had a great time :) Sounds like a lot of fun! I certainly wouldn't miss nightclubs or raucous behaviour either haha. xx

Sounds so lovely!! A little bit of everything with people you love, what more could you ask for.
Glad you had a lovely time x

Also, here's a not very good pic of how lovely our venue looks all lit up at night, with the huge windows open in the room we are getting married in and fairy lights all over the garden!

    T-12 weeks status report!

Truthfully apart from the hen I haven't done much wedding stuff recently.....I'm a bit bored of it all! Ironically only now that I've lost interest is everyone else suddenly wanting to talk about it 😂

We are at the tail end of it though, all we really need to do is:
    Order cake & doughnuts
    Order flowers
    Finish dress fittings
    Write our speeches
Finish a couple of DIY bits - a photo board and the seating chart
Sort out who is doing what in the days before the wedding, like collecting stuff and setting up.

We are going to stay with the in laws for a few days next week and going to a particular suit shop called Field Bros in Leigh on Sea where C likes to buy all his suits, to hopefully buy his outfit.

Just waiting for the RSVP deadline for evening invites which is 15th June to pass and then we will know final numbers and can finalise that with our venue and pay our exact final bill. Just waiting for 2 relatives to tell me if their on/off partners are coming to the day, and waiting for loads of C's extended family and colleagues to RSVP for the evening - I won't be chasing evening people, if they don't reply I'll just assume they aren't coming!

So off we went to Field Bros yesterday, and we were a bit underwhelmed compared to our previous visit. They seem to have less stock than they used to and aren't able to offer longer length waistcoats or jackets, they just want to order stuff that's too big to get the length then we'd have to pay to have it altered down to fit C. He's ordered one in just to try on but to be honest they are at the top end pricewise and it pisses me off to pay more for a suit that won't fit then more for alterations!
We're going to order a few suits online from companies who do offer longer length this week so we can compare them all next weekend.

Finally managed to order the cake for our delivery date and managed to get a £5 off discount code so cost £75 in all for 2 tiers and 2 cutting bars. Relieved it's done!

Have you tried Debenhams? My fiancé was a bit reluctant to go in as he didn’t think they’d have much that he liked but we’ve found a lovely ‘trendy’ suit by Hammond & co in a long length. Him and his brothers who are best man/ ushers are all over 6ft so we too needed a longer length

Thanks, unfortunately he is big & tall and Debenham's don't go up to his chest size. We are very limited on where we can buy him clothes!

10 weeks and 2 days to go!

C being C he procrastinated about ordering the other suit so it didn't come in time - so now we have to make a decision about the suit at Field Bros tomorrow without anything to compare it to.  I'm just going to leave it up to him as I've got enough to deal with!

RSVP date for evening invites is tomorrow and still loads of C's family haven't responded. Bit annoying but not going to get my knickers in a twist about it.

Have spent the evening filling in the menu choices spreadsheet for the venue and slightly rearranging the seating plan as some kids need highchairs, so they can only sit on one side of some of the tables due to banquette seating the other side, doh! 🤦‍♀️

We STILL don't know if 2 of my sibling's partners are coming 🙄 I think I'm just going to leave them on the list and if they don't come they don't come. I'm quite sad about my BIL not coming as I've known him for 20 years, I actually was the one who introduced him to my stepsister, as he was best friends with my ex who has now passed away. My brother's girlfriend I've only met once so don't care either way if she comes 😂

C is off on his stag do on Thursday, he has no idea where he's going yet so got to get him all packed for that without giving him any clues - I keep just telling him he's going to Blackpool!

And it's only 15 days until Venice with my girls, and our make up trials are when we get back 🤩😎👰💃🍕🍝🍸🍹🥂

    It's all go!
