Hair/Makeup: Hannah Gill (who I found through this site! Hi Hannah if you see this :D)

Cheese Tower/Cake: Costco

Brief History: Me and Y first met in 2009, I was one month into Uni and not interested a relationship with anyone. As happens, one month later I met someone else, who I was with for 18 months. Throughout these 18 months whenever I saw Y he would ask if I was single yet, would try it on etc and was always told to get lost. Anyway, I was out around a month after my break up, spotted him by the bar, I had already had a few drinks so had the courage to walk up to him, I said I was single now, he just kissed me and I dont think we spent a night apart after that? So fast forward 12 months, I was graduating university and I found out I was pregnant. I was my usual realistic/pessamisitc self considering we had only been together a year but Y said it would be fine. In February 2013 we welcomed our daughter L then in February 2015 while on mini break in London he proposed! After this we moved house and both had job changes so the wedding got put on hold. Finally summer 2017 we finally started booking our wedding! For more on that go read my planning thread ;)

Now, onto the report!

So I wondered where I should start this, due to the fact I did not want to have to set up or clean down myself (everything was brought in for our venue) I did very little DIY and instead hired people to do it all, which means there was very little happening on the days leading up to the wedding. In the end I decided to start on the Friday, because anything before that was minor and borring haha so...

    Friday 7th December
So Y took L to school so I could get to the hairdressers for a wash and trim to get my hair ready for the following day. Some of his family had arrived the night before so he then went to town to show then around and catch up. I ended up meeting them there and had a wander around the shops before heading over for my brows and lashes appointment. It was the first time I had lashes and I thought they looked lovely. After this appointment I headed over to the hotel as it was now 2pm and I could check in. I had nothing with me but at least I could get the room key! It was this point my dad, grandparents and one of my cousins arrived. Me and my grandma went to fetch L from school while the guys got checked in (and we would later find out, head to the pub). L had her winter fair at school which we HAD to look at apparently before we could go back. Once I practically ran her around the fair we got ourselves back to the hotel and me, L and my grandma went to get our nails done. My nails and long now and all my own, which I am very proud of haha and I had these done plain with a gold glitter tip. L had just gold glitter polish on her little nails and my grandma had a metallic shade that matched her wedding outfit. We again walked back to the hotel to find the guys all gone. It was now we discovered that the men were at the pub, and while they had been there Y had found them and joined them. After some stern words basically telling them to get their arses back and to help, we all got together at our house while L was handed over to my best friend and bridesmaid (who had arrived while we had nails done) to look after her while we grabbed the wedding stuff that needed to be our end. We loaded everything up, I said goodbye to Y, who at this point I was pretty annoyed with for being just a bit too relaxed and (in my head) not taking it all seriously, and I got back to the hotel.

Sorry I haven't been updating. We had christmas then new year and I was back at work and I just needed a break haha but I will now aim to get on with this! (plus we have our professional pics now!)

So, we were all back at the hotel. Everyone else was having a great time but I just wanted to be left alone. I hate people fussing over me, asking how im feeling etc so I stayed in my hotel room with my daughter. I called up the various people who I needed to give gifts to as we were not doing this during the speeches and had chats with them all. I wont repeat the gifts here, they are all on my planning thread :)
It was at this point I started to realise all he stuff I had left at the house because we had been rushing. I had no toothbrush, no razor, no outfit for our daughter for the day after the wedding. All stupid suff I had forgotten. But it was not 10pm and all the rest of the family were pretty drunk in the hotel bar and I dont drive, so I got my friend to sit with my daughter while I got the 15 min long bus home. I knew Y was with his family so wouldn't be there. I grabbed the stuff we needed, then did another tidy around because I asked Y to do this before he went to his family and he hadn't and I realised there was only the 11pm bus back or I wouold have to walk so I got that and let my family know I was on my way. So I walk through the door of the hotel to various family members all concerned, asking if I was ok etc which I hate, I did not want fussing. I explained I needed these things, I was not waiting until our wedding morning to get them and as they had all been drinking I just sorted it myself. I think they thought I was doing a runner? Anyways, I escaped the family, let my friend go and me and my daughter got into bed a little past midnight. Not an ideal night but oh well....

Sorry Sadieee your latest post made me giggle, it's exactly the sort of thing I'd end up doing! And as if they thought you'd done a runner on the bus...  :D Looking forward to the next installment.
