edited 11 January in Your wedding reports
I thought I would start my report as I found other peoples SO useful.  It helped so much with the planning to hear what worked and what didn't work.

I'll start with our supplier list....

Venue:  The Stanneylands.  As those of you who followed my planning know we had problems with the wedding coordinator, nothing changed she didn't even wish me congratulations or even a simple hello on the day.  However the day went amazingly and the food was fabulous!  It worked really well as a venue.

Dress:  Penelope by Rosa Clara from Knutsford Wedding Gallery.  Best bridal shop experience I had just wish the alterations lady hadn't been on mat leave as I had to use someone else...more on that later.  My cape was a Helen Martin veil adapted to make a cape.

Hair:  My lovely hairdresser Tina Craven and hair vine and slides from aliexpress

Make up: So Coco Rouge

Shoes: Aldo

Rings: Ernest Jones

Band: The Funtime Frankies (amazing)

Flowers: Springbank

Magic Mirror and arcade table: Glamour Events

Dancefloor: Butterfly Events

Photographer: The Crawleys

Videographer: Electric Blue

Cars: Keyhole Motors

Suits: Whitfield and Ward, and Rocco Clothing

Mens shoes: Whitfield and Ward and River Island

Flower Girl: Angel and Rocket dress and John Lewis shoes, hair piece Monsoon

String Quartet: Northern String Quartet

Cake: The Princess and the Cupcake

Venue dressing: Pop and Flourish

Honeymoon: Imagine Africa

I was so happy with every single one of our suppliers (bar aforementioned coordinator).  We are obviously waiting for photos and video but Liam and Charlotte were great on the day.

I've probably missed someone...but that looks like it for now

So two days before  (as xmas and new year were a write off for any prep!)

It was at this point I thought who gets married on 4 January!

So 2 Jan I decided to pop on a sunbed and get my eyebrows done only nowhere was open. I quickly messaged the girl who was doing my nails the next day and she fitted me in for eyebrows. I didn't end up having a sunbed but I'm quite olive skinned anyway so I wasn't bothered.

Next stop was my mums to try my knickers on with the dress.  I wasn't happy that you could see the seams so we cut them into a thong so I still got the tummy support.

I also realised there was a section of lace that created what looked like a hole where I'd had the illusion back taken out. At first I thought the dress was too tight and it was pulling. Luckily I remembered the shop had given me some spare lace and my mum set to work sewing in a little piece. Think she was more stressed than me about it πŸ˜‚

I then started transporting bits to the venue. The room was being made ready but they had put side plates out so I had to find the wedding coordinator to remind her how the tables were to be set.

Then home to make favours, think we over bought sambuca. We have the same amount left of white too πŸ˜‚

Then our last dinner and night together as non marrieds!!

Wedding eve was a bit manic. Phil dropped jess at nursery and the boys were at their dads which left us child free.
I made up Phil's present box while he was on the nursery run

They were all individually wrapped in tissue with a note on each one but I didn't take a picture.
At 10am I went to have my nails done, I loved them

My toes were just natural with same glitter on the big toes

Phil had dropped some other bits at the hotel and I picked up the centrepieces and other bits that were left and made my way to Stanneylands. I arranged a few bits and phoned my dad to come and drive over so his car was there for the next morning.

I gave the hotel all our bags for our stay the night of the wedding.

The side plates were STILL out so I told reception again. My friends went over that night to sort out the rest of the venue dressing, finish the centrepieces etc

I messaged L to ask her if she could sort out our order of the day as I couldn't find a chalk pen anywhere and was on the verge of binning it...

This is what I left at the venue for her

She completely prettified it for me and hoping our tog got a picture of it.. She text me to say my writing is a disgrace and what was happening at 6.30 πŸ˜‚

We were so lucky to have such fab friends to help out!!!

My dad arrived with his car asking if he should have brought his overnight bag πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ honestly if you don't spell things out for people.

I left him in the car while I went to put up our sign. The cable ties were too thick so I phoned Phil for him to pick up some more and left the sign with the hotel.

I then dropped my dad off at his house and picked up all the wedding outfits and
overnight bags for that night for me, 3 kids, my mum and dad.

I drove them over to the hotel we were staying that night.  Dropped my parents bag
at the venue and inspected the sign that Phil had put on the wrong lamppost

All that effort and no one saw it as the council took it down between 4pm that night and 12 the next day😭

Ah I'm so excited for this!

Your friend's comment about the order of the day made me laugh. I've been banned from doing any writing for our wedding apparently..

Oh what a pain about the sign, we have one too.. I might ask H2B to put it up on the morning just in case. .

Our planning thread: We're completely winging it.

    My weightloss thread: Diet denial!

Thank you it's nice to know someone is reading and I'm not babbling on to myself πŸ˜‚

I love your order of the day I should have taken that route...

I think we were unlucky with the sign as the council were doing roadworks but they didn't even hand it into the hotel and we wanted to keep it πŸ™„

While I was back at the venue, BIL arrived to check in with his kids which was nice to see them. I then rushed off to pick up my eldest from his friends, youngest from nursery and back to my parents.

My sister had arrived so I got everyone in the car (thank God I have a 7 seater!) and off we went to the Mere! My parents were having the boys in their room and me, my sister and Jess in ours.

    This was our suite

We promptly opened the wine and ordered room service. The kids played golf and watched sing.

After dinner we all played dominoes and it was lovely. I realised I'd not left Phil his wedding card πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ so I text to let him know. There was no grand farewell between us in fact I cant even remember at what point in the day I last saw him. Ooops!

My mum and dad went back to the room with the boys, I put jess to bed and sat and chatted to my sister for a while.  Her fella updated us on the boys night (they went to the pub to watch the footy).

This was the last pic we got from them

@MrsGToBe thank you. Ah that's such a shame, how mean of them!

The last photo is great and your suite looks lovely.
