edited 11 January in Your wedding reports
I thought I would start my report as I found other peoples SO useful.  It helped so much with the planning to hear what worked and what didn't work.

I'll start with our supplier list....

Venue:  The Stanneylands.  As those of you who followed my planning know we had problems with the wedding coordinator, nothing changed she didn't even wish me congratulations or even a simple hello on the day.  However the day went amazingly and the food was fabulous!  It worked really well as a venue.

Dress:  Penelope by Rosa Clara from Knutsford Wedding Gallery.  Best bridal shop experience I had just wish the alterations lady hadn't been on mat leave as I had to use someone else...more on that later.  My cape was a Helen Martin veil adapted to make a cape.

Hair:  My lovely hairdresser Tina Craven and hair vine and slides from aliexpress

Make up: So Coco Rouge

Shoes: Aldo

Rings: Ernest Jones

Band: The Funtime Frankies (amazing)

Flowers: Springbank

Magic Mirror and arcade table: Glamour Events

Dancefloor: Butterfly Events

Photographer: The Crawleys

Videographer: Electric Blue

Cars: Keyhole Motors

Suits: Whitfield and Ward, and Rocco Clothing

Mens shoes: Whitfield and Ward and River Island

Flower Girl: Angel and Rocket dress and John Lewis shoes, hair piece Monsoon

String Quartet: Northern String Quartet

Cake: The Princess and the Cupcake

Venue dressing: Pop and Flourish

Honeymoon: Imagine Africa

I was so happy with every single one of our suppliers (bar aforementioned coordinator).  We are obviously waiting for photos and video but Liam and Charlotte were great on the day.

I've probably missed someone...but that looks like it for now

So two days before  (as xmas and new year were a write off for any prep!)

It was at this point I thought who gets married on 4 January!

So 2 Jan I decided to pop on a sunbed and get my eyebrows done only nowhere was open. I quickly messaged the girl who was doing my nails the next day and she fitted me in for eyebrows. I didn't end up having a sunbed but I'm quite olive skinned anyway so I wasn't bothered.

Next stop was my mums to try my knickers on with the dress.  I wasn't happy that you could see the seams so we cut them into a thong so I still got the tummy support.

I also realised there was a section of lace that created what looked like a hole where I'd had the illusion back taken out. At first I thought the dress was too tight and it was pulling. Luckily I remembered the shop had given me some spare lace and my mum set to work sewing in a little piece. Think she was more stressed than me about it πŸ˜‚

I then started transporting bits to the venue. The room was being made ready but they had put side plates out so I had to find the wedding coordinator to remind her how the tables were to be set.

Then home to make favours, think we over bought sambuca. We have the same amount left of white too πŸ˜‚

Then our last dinner and night together as non marrieds!!

Wedding eve was a bit manic. Phil dropped jess at nursery and the boys were at their dads which left us child free.
I made up Phil's present box while he was on the nursery run

They were all individually wrapped in tissue with a note on each one but I didn't take a picture.
At 10am I went to have my nails done, I loved them

My toes were just natural with same glitter on the big toes

Phil had dropped some other bits at the hotel and I picked up the centrepieces and other bits that were left and made my way to Stanneylands. I arranged a few bits and phoned my dad to come and drive over so his car was there for the next morning.

I gave the hotel all our bags for our stay the night of the wedding.

The side plates were STILL out so I told reception again. My friends went over that night to sort out the rest of the venue dressing, finish the centrepieces etc

I messaged L to ask her if she could sort out our order of the day as I couldn't find a chalk pen anywhere and was on the verge of binning it...

This is what I left at the venue for her

She completely prettified it for me and hoping our tog got a picture of it.. She text me to say my writing is a disgrace and what was happening at 6.30 πŸ˜‚

We were so lucky to have such fab friends to help out!!!

My dad arrived with his car asking if he should have brought his overnight bag πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ honestly if you don't spell things out for people.

I left him in the car while I went to put up our sign. The cable ties were too thick so I phoned Phil for him to pick up some more and left the sign with the hotel.

I then dropped my dad off at his house and picked up all the wedding outfits and
overnight bags for that night for me, 3 kids, my mum and dad.

I drove them over to the hotel we were staying that night.  Dropped my parents bag
at the venue and inspected the sign that Phil had put on the wrong lamppost

All that effort and no one saw it as the council took it down between 4pm that night and 12 the next day😭

Ah I'm so excited for this!

Your friend's comment about the order of the day made me laugh. I've been banned from doing any writing for our wedding apparently..

Oh what a pain about the sign, we have one too.. I might ask H2B to put it up on the morning just in case. .

Our planning thread: We're completely winging it.
Our report: A fun, classic May day in navy and blush
    My weightloss thread: Diet denial!

Thank you it's nice to know someone is reading and I'm not babbling on to myself πŸ˜‚

I love your order of the day I should have taken that route...

I think we were unlucky with the sign as the council were doing roadworks but they didn't even hand it into the hotel and we wanted to keep it πŸ™„

While I was back at the venue, BIL arrived to check in with his kids which was nice to see them. I then rushed off to pick up my eldest from his friends, youngest from nursery and back to my parents.

My sister had arrived so I got everyone in the car (thank God I have a 7 seater!) and off we went to the Mere! My parents were having the boys in their room and me, my sister and Jess in ours.

    This was our suite

We promptly opened the wine and ordered room service. The kids played golf and watched sing.

After dinner we all played dominoes and it was lovely. I realised I'd not left Phil his wedding card πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ so I text to let him know. There was no grand farewell between us in fact I cant even remember at what point in the day I last saw him. Ooops!

My mum and dad went back to the room with the boys, I put jess to bed and sat and chatted to my sister for a while.  Her fella updated us on the boys night (they went to the pub to watch the footy).

This was the last pic we got from them

@MrsGToBe thank you. Ah that's such a shame, how mean of them!

The last photo is great and your suite looks lovely.

We went to bed at about 11pm to make sure we were well rested. However the suite was next to a generator.  The first time it set off my sister jumped up and walked around the room (she sleep walks so left her to it) and jess jumped up and started talking in her sleep.

I lay there thinking how did I end up with these two πŸ˜‚

It went off a few more times and I started to get agitated about not sleeping so I phoned reception to complain. I mean who puts the most expensive room in the hotel next to a generator.

I eventually nodded off at about 2am to be awoken by the phone. My dad phoning to say they were getting up πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘πŸ» we had already agreed to meet them at breakfast.

We stuck some clothes on and enticed jess out of bed (she had hidden under her duvet in hope of more sleep). We opted that she could go for breakfast in her PJs and have a bath after. She had brought a unicorn bath bomb with her so she reluctantly agreed to get up.

I only managed some poached egg on toast and a latte but everyone else dug in.  This little monkey managed to pour her weetabix all over herself. Luckily she had wedding pjs to change into!

As the girls all went to the suite to get ready the boys went for a swim with my dad.

We popped jess in the bath and pottered about getting everything out for the day. I have no idea where the time went but my hairdresser (and friend) was knocking at the door and I hadn't even showered.  I jumped in and we all got pjs on. Except my sister as she had put weight on since I bought them and they were far too small. Oops.

Fizz was opened and another knock at the door.  Champers and a gift from Phil!

I don't have pictures from the day but the boy did good 😍

Yay! Loving your report so far. And love your bag! Excited to read more 😁❀️

I started having my hair done and was nattering on when we got onto Take That and I started moaning that despite heavy hints I got tickets to see Ramesh for xmas instead of TT or Spice Girls.  My sister was then like..open the BAG! Inside was a TT tshirt and a card saying we had VIP tickets for April 😍

I felt like my boudoir photos were lame in comparison but hubby said it was the best gift ever

The next bits are a blur the videographer arrived, photographer and make up artist.  It was all quite surreal but I felt so calm. Think the fizz was helping!

I'm going to have to leave you all here while I wait for photos. Why do they take SO long 😭😝

Somehow I have missed this report.  I haven't been on here much, and def not been updating my report at all!  Trying to prioritise the 131 thank you letters that I am writing individually  :s  There must be a curse on those signs; mine got taken as well.  I was so sad, I was planning on putting it up.  Lovely gift from hubby as well.  And on the photo front... I sympathise!

So annoying about the signs, I've emailed the council ha! I am not looking forward to the writing of cards and 131 is a huge amount.  I think we only have about 80 max so hoping they won't take too long to write...The band uploaded some pics so that has stopped me stalking my photographer and videographer as much!

LOL- I sent the best man back to try to find it, but nothing.  Feels like they were such a waste of money, especially as it was raining so much.

I didn't stop stalking my photographer.  I LOVE seeing their pics. Still do it now  :p

Wow what a fab gift from your husband!
I think those signs are lovely, but I'm glad I just bought an arrow with 'Wedding >" from Poundland now if they get taken down! It's crazy as there are banners and adverts for things well out of date tied to railings and lampposts around here.
  • Oh no how annoying about the sign!

What an amazing present from your husband. I don’t know whether R and I will do presents, he’s a bit shit at presents unless given very specific guidance and I’m not sure whether I want to open a shit card from B&M bargains with a few notes stuffed in because β€˜I thought you might as well just have the cash’ on my wedding morning πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ

cant wait to read more, hurry up mr photographer!
  • CharleahCharleah Posts: 248 New bride
I’ve bought the same sign as you too, but there’s a bit of an off road dirt track to get to our venue so I’m hoping no one official will notice ours!! πŸ™ˆ

Can’t wait for you to get your photos!
  • MrsGtoBMrsGtoB Posts: 712 New bride
Thanks for reading all. The council have emailed to say they are looking into it with the engineer so I'll let you know! I doubt we will get it back but any info might be useful for other brides.

    Still stalking my tog...hourly 😬🀣

Photographer updated his insta to say they are editing the wedding before ours.  Aggghh I want the photos so bad πŸ˜‚
Keeping myself busy planning my honeymoon wardrobe!

So we are back from the most amazing honeymoon in Kenya.  Totally the dream holiday and so glad we chose it.

And we have our video and some pics!!! YAY!!

I'm going to do things a bit backwards and stick the video in here as it's super short compared to most and I LOVE IT!! Can't tell you how many times I've watched it.

Charlotte did the most incredible job, couldn't recommend her enough
  • MrsCToBeeMrsCToBee Posts: 2,856 New bride
Wow that's amazing! You're making me sad we aren't having a videographer!
  • MrsGtoBMrsGtoB Posts: 712 New bride
@MrsCToBee it was quite a late decision for us and we looked at 2 which were SO expensive but really glad we managed to find Charlotte.  If your budget can stretch I'd definitely try and fit it in, it brings back all the memories x

    Wow! What an amazing video!!

Everything looks fabulous and I can't wait to read the rest of your report.

Great video I love it - dunno whether it’s meant to be Jurassic Park themed on purpose but it fits the theme with the fast pace of it! X

Sorry I've neglected this report a bit but thank you cards are taking forever to make!

So I had my hair done first as it would hold better than my mum and Jess'. While I was getting sorted my sister did Jessica's nails and Harrison and Jacob returned from their swim at some point. Jacob went to hide with my dad in their room.

So here at last are some pictures!!

My flowers arrived, I had asked for an extra feather for my mum but they put in more so my sister made a headband for her hair which was a nice link for us all

I also realised I had brought Phil's card with me πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

I had my make up done last, then got jess in her dress. My mum and Jax got in theirs and then it was my turn 😬
